  1. My German socket set has 1/4" and 3/8" drive sockets.
  2. You may want to consider a Lokar dipstick. It fits nicely under the hood.
  3. Nice! I would love to have some type of car-mounted version to thin out the local road bike population.
  4. Doyle Rotary? The only name I can think of that would be worse is the Jethro Rotary.
  5. Definitely something I want to check out for my wife.
  6. I almost forgot about Digi-Key. They have tons of switches and lamps. I really like the APEM switches. http://www.digikey.com/us/en/digihome.html
  7. The last two videos appear to be the same unless there is an alternate ending that I somehow missed.
  8. +1 for Car Builder Solutions http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/
  9. Learn something new every day. Thanks for posting!
  10. IMO - the rear of classic XL looks far better than the M-Spec XL.
  11. Jevs - congrats with your purchase. I think you will find the build process to be rewarding and challenging. Overall, I was very satisfied with the metal fabrication on my kit, but disappointed with a few other things. The differential supplied by Brunton failed within the first 1,000 miles. When we pulled it apart, I discovered that several parts were severely worn (used) and the ring and pinion wasn't properly setup. Also discovered that the backup sensor switch (used) was inoperable and required replacement. When installing the engine I ran into a few technical issues that I think could have been prevented. The first being the steering shaft. The shaft did not clear the engine which required a longer shaft. The second was the coil packs on the valve covers had to be relocated because of hood clearance. Lastly, I had to modify the alternator bracket because the one supplied did not allow room for adjustment or proper fitment. The quality of the fiberglass panels supplied with the kits was okay, but could have been better. I could literally see through parts of the dash panel because the lay up was so thin. The rear fenders differed approximately 2" different in length. The last and biggest thing that frustrated me was that I ordered the classic model without the hood scoop (like bonjo2's), but received a model with the scoop. Having said all of that, I hope you get as much enjoyment out of your XL as I do my Classic. I enjoyed the build experience and definitely love getting the car on the road.
  12. What's your point John? Can you summarize it in one sentence?
  13. The car sounds interesting. I hope they succeed.
  14. Thanks! I would not recommend mounting your lights on your fenders as they would bounce up and down like a pair of floppy tits.
  15. http://www.eliomotors.com Do you think they will actually launch?
  16. My LEDs are DOT approved - pricey though. http://i62.tinypic.com/nl8so4.jpg
  17. I used to do that with my Birkin - great for long trips. With the floor-mounted pedals on my Storker, its not possible.
  18. From what I've seen, it would be difficult to install a dead pedal in most sevens. The foot box in my car is just a little over 12" across.
  19. Another thing I'd be worried about if taking your Saab to the mountains is being passed by bicyclists.
  20. I was kinda hoping that one of them would have dropped the lug nuts or wheel.
