  1. The "7 America" was the name given to the Caterhams imported by Frank Bolton and fitted with a Zetec in 2000. At the time Frank was the US distributor for Caterham and was based in or near Atlanta. My car was the first "7 America" and was sent to the SCCA for homologation into E production. It then served as the Demo car for Frank and then George Alderman. It is now a D Mod autocross/street car.
  2. I would like to see the trailer with the baby Seven hooked to your Seven.
  3. Besides, How bad could he be if he likes a Seven?:driving:
  4. NASA is a good bunch. Now you are prepped for Hyperfest at Summit Point next June.
  5. I would likely drive up. I didn't see any Sevens there this year.
  6. Take the ugly lime green upper skin off and I might like the new slimmer, more aero retro looking Seven underneath better.

  8. 302-652-3733 is the shop number ask for Paul or George.
  9. It's the wheels that make it pop. Could I get a copy of the PSD?
  10. Any suggestions? What are you running?
  11. Karl, I sent you a email with a PDF of Superlight settings.
  12. Ok, I stand corrected. Alot has changed in the 29 years since I was there. I look forward to the stories.
  13. Croc, Bora Bora - short for not much to do here. Pick from three. You can go out with guides to get in the water and feed the sharks. They keep the sharks interested in what ever it is they feed to the sharks and you stay behind a a rope marker placed a "safe distance" away from the frenzied sharks as you watch through your mask breathing through your snorkel. For those that don't like sharks, you can rent an old Vespa and ride circles around the island. The top past time would be to stay with Croc having several of your favorite island drink, bask in the sun and take an occasional dip in the warm clear water. Enjoy
  14. Bottom line is "Get out your checkbook or charge card." Or call another Seven Owner.
  15. Al, Should we be worried? Sounds worse than Sevenitis, ;-)
  16. Mike, Thank you for a very well done clip. What a great way to bring back the memories. I can't imagine where you get talent and the time. The music and the little chats and oh yes that Beep Beep :-) were a classic touch. Steve, how is your engine?
  17. Mike, 2000 Superlights came with CR500 Mike Barnby 3 pc, 13 x 8 R and 13 x 7 F. http://www.mb-racingwheels.com/contact.htm The backspace on my Kodiak 13 x 10s is 4.5 in F&R. That is fine with a stiff walled Hoosier but the softer Avons require 4.25 in the rear. I think that anything greater than 4.5 will result in rear inside tire rub. You can run any backspace that is less than 4.25. The backspace will determine the offset. Less backspace will move the tire to a wider stance. Measure as described here: https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html You will also want to provide them with the distance from the wheel/hub center to the outside and inside edges of your brake calipers. w
  18. and that from an authority :-)
  19. Mike, https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html Explains how to calculate the back space your car requires. I will measure my CR500 wheels tomorrow and get back to you.
  20. When my car used to over heat on hot days I did the following: 1. remove all antifreeze 2. refill with water and water wetter 3. block all air from flowing around the radiator That was three years ago. So far, so good even sitting in traffic on 90 degrees. Oil cooler will be next upgrade.
  21. nevermind. it's EI. Mozilla works fine.
