  1. Back up https://rockymountaincaterham.com/
  2. In defense of the OP's statement, we had a 3 hour delay of our flight in December 2010 due to snow, sleet, and freezing rain at the Tampa airport. You think SC people panic, you would have thought the world was physically coming to an end that day. Bill
  3. Damn, that was a good one Oh wait, too soon
  4. A tough room to read, perhaps change your tactics
  5. I had a full deck 18' Worthington back in the 90's, sold it and bought a Trailex at the time, the one they call a 911 trailer CT-7551
  6. Do you have specs on the trailer you have, or was it a one off custom build?
  7. Sorry, this is a news story that has already run it's course in regards to the suggested target, I'm really thinking if there was anything that implicated Trump, the Democrats would have leaked it long before the election cycle ran it's course. After all, they had all of the files for years prior.
  8. Caterham states 4" wider, another 4" longer in the passenger compartment Here is a thread from 2017 on the subject, a search of the archives shows other comparisons between a S3 (standard chassis) and a SV (wider, slightly longer chassis)
  9. Politics sucks It does nothing but divide the people of the country United we prosper, divided we fail Ask yourself, who wants to stir the pot and see us fail? I'll leave it at that.
  10. Car has been sold to an owner also in SC
  11. Yes, at this time, still available, happy to show it to you up close and in person.
  12. As stated earlier, sorry, no trades
  13. SWMBO has decided she does not want to drive any of our convertibles any longer, she will occasionally go for a ride, but even that is becoming farther apart than it used to be.Preferring the 70 Shelby or her 2.5L Ford Duratec powered Miata GT if nothing else. I'll be brutally honest, since "we" are not using it as much as "I" would like, same with our 05 Corvette convertible (22,700 original miles, less than 300 miles in the last year), both went up for sale on their appropriate sites. Once one goes, then I'm back to not having to juggle cars to get something out (everything goes out the door my Expedition is parked in front of), which will take some of the pressure I'm feeling off, although eventually, both will go. I've attached a shot of the current parking situation so you understand what I'm talking about. Any other questions, just let me know, as others will tell you, I'm not shy about sharing the good, bad, or in this case sheer indifference. Bill
  14. I've used them in some of my Cobra replicas, you will absolutely love them. Bill
  15. https://tc.canada.ca/en/road-transportation/importing-vehicle/importing-older-vehicles-canada The bottom line with Trans Canada importation is the paperwork, or the paper trail from birth to import. If you have this information, yes, it is my understanding working with Cobra replicas, a 15 year old or older Caterham can essentially be imported as a running, driving vehicle. Where you get in to trouble, as many Cobra replica buyers in Canada have found out, it is not what the car is titled as (IE: 1965 Ford 2dr convertible in some cases with Cobras), but the original manufacturers documentation showing the date of manufacture. The above link will give you the basics, warnings as well about rebuilt or RHD (depends on the providence). They also specifically give you the following: "For vintage replica vehicles, the age is assessed using the final date of completion of the replica, not the model year it replicates. If an importer is unable to provide valid proof of age to establish a vehicle’s non-regulated status, CBSA officers will assess a vehicle for importation according to normal guidelines, which can result in its denial at the Canadian border if the vehicle does not comply." This may or may not come in to play, as Caterham is not building replicas, but ongoing production of their cars. So, depending on your local providence, you might be able to import a 15 year old Caterham after all. Your best bet is to contact your local authorities and see if they will allow the car on the road once it is imported. Have I gone full circle yet? Bill
  16. I was having withdrawal symptoms at 5:30am
  17. I'd not worry about the tariff on a sub $50 part from a private seller as it is not really a car part, but a wall decoration which is not subject to tariffs https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/177342873102 and https://caterhamparts.co.uk/nosecones/27-grille-nosecone-s3-7-logo-grey.html
  18. I've been around FFR since the very beginning, assisted in building a single digit MK I, so I post the following with a little history with the company: Like the FFR GTM, Spyder (I owned and finished the original Silver prototype), and now the 818, they are an acquired taste. More than 60% of the owner/builders sell them off in quick fashion, or end up selling them off still in kit form, both unbuilt at all, or unfinished. Bill
  19. Might want to re-edit here with an asking price
  20. I realize this may be a bit out of the ordinary, but my 03 RHD UK spec Caterham SV is by all accounts considered and was originally sold as a "Super Seven", however, with the 210hp Caterham USA spec motor, I've been asked by several potential buyers what the modern equivalent would be. 310, 360, or 420? If I go by HP, given the current spec on the Caterham site it would be between the 360 and 420 does this sound right given it's a Zetec and not a Duratec driveline? More power to weight at this point, as a modern version would be a "S" Street Pack equipped car. Can anyone sort this question out for me? As always, thanks in advance Bill
  21. Thanks for the inquiries, but we are downsizing our collection, so no trades
  22. Is the trailer open or enclosed? Tell me more about the 911 if you can
  23. Perfect, thanks for the lead. Bill
  24. Interesting concept and idea, wonder if there is anyone who offers replacement seat covers for the cloth Caterham seats. As for black, a personal choice, now, if the car was BRG, then a tan set of seats would be awesome
  25. Since the car has not found a new owner yet, I figured I'd continue on with my original planned upgrades. So, I'm looking for a nice set of Black Leather SV seats with headrests. Found a set in the UK, but neither the UK or US based UPS stores want to touch them due to the unsteady tariff situation. Serious inquiries only please. Bill
