Nah! None of my forecasts show that. Anyway the track is in a rain shadow so the storms usually bypass it around the edges - strange to observe but good to see

To echo what Croc & Tom have said in the past:

Weather at the track is 'weird'. Every visit I've made there have been monsoon's 5 miles away and pristine weather at the track. So the forecast isn't reliable. It's not worth worrying about.

Just got home from Alaska and it looks like Croc has it all under control. I just have to install the new harnesses for the passenger seat, put on a new set of slick and maybe even clean the yellow car. I'm hoping Croc has cleaned up the Orange car as it's been sitting in his garage for the last two week. Other than that, I'm ready.

Glad to be back and online again. See you all soon. Tom

Just a heads up for those who have spouses or friends that may want to go for a ride on track. They must wear long pants and close toed shoes. no shorts or sandals. Short sleeve shirts ar ok though.

Leaving now for the event. Hope to travel East Coast/I-95 late tonight and avoid some of the predictable Baltimore/Wilmington travel/parking lot. Will sleep-in Fri a.m., and arrive at the track noonish to early p/m on Friday to unload/set up.

Departure seemed to bring the worse out in me, the Caterham and the trailer-how much can go wrong in such a short time?

Take my adventure yesterday backing my Caterham out of the trailer: the trailer was parked on an incline and the Caterham's engine was on. As I stepped onto the roll cage to get in, it broke loose from its wheel block, rolling driverless out onto the street (unless me jumping on the top of roll cage and riding spreadeagled on top and out of the back of the trailer counts as "driving")? I then slid down into the very tight driver's seat as the car rolled on to the middle of the street backwards, removable steering wheel MIA. I finally found the brake and brought things under control. Fortunately, no video. Who says all the excitement happens on the track?!

Then there were the last minute Caterham and trailer failures to trouble-shoot/fix.

Hi Guys,

I hope you all have a quiet journey to NJMP. May you also not have any rain and lots of cool daytime breezes while at the track... hopefully not working on your cars. Who knows maybe even a stray BMW could show up.

have fun and dive safe.

If all else fails, I am flying solo and I have a suite booked on the track, so if you want to share let me know. I will be arriving Friday and leaving Monday morning.

Vovchandr - Checking Kayak shows the Ramada by Wyndham in Vineland (2 rooms left) and the Quality Inn in Vineland with availability. I used Kayak.com to search and reconfirmed by hitting their website directly.

Croc, currently booked with Ramada by Wyndham and taking the half hour before cancellation period expires to look at other options.

While I have your attention here, I registered by the price seemed off? I registered as a driver for $330 total plus $100 for passenger but the price should have been $250 a day? Double checking things on that end to see what I could have missed too

Edit: Saw my mistake. I'm realizing I'm considered a guest driver so changed to that

"Guest Driving Event Registration Saturday - Sunday" $500

Glad you solved it because I am still confused?

At this point I am having a beer and checking out.

Tom C arrived today and we plugged his camper into the garage mahal. He was working with Steve helping to fettle his new beasty after it ate some rear wings. Jeff's new engine arrived at TJs along with two of my V8s rebuilds and was ready for installation - his Zetec - not my V8s. Unfortunately, Jeff is apparently not attending but rather is chasing something in Colorado. Hope she is cute?

If I dont see you first, karting is at 3pm - bring your helmet and if you have it - race suit and neck collar. Meet at the karting site at Lightning.

Safe travels!

Probably a little late to be asking for advice here but a part I didn't expect to be a problem became a problem.

The new belts I ordered from Caterham to replace my outdated ones don't have a date spec on them.

I can only imagine it will be a problem during the inspection time. Any advice?
