Well that was a surprise.  I think that video was taken in Alaska?   The gentleman interviewed is I think Tom @Alaskossie   The yellow Caterham in the background I am almost sure was formerly mine albeit its now missing its green nose band.  Looks identical in every way.   I know it left me for Alaska and how many yellow zetec Caterhams could there be in Alaska?

I'm finally getting caught up. Yes, that is me in the video -- I've never seen it before.  It was recorded at the annual British Sports Car Club Alaska concourse on the Loussac Library lawn in Anchorage. The yellow Seven is NOT Croc's former car. It is an SV owned by Dr. Jim O'Malley in Anchorage.

If Croc's former yellow Seven came to Alaska, it is undoubtedly the one owned by a fellow in Juneau whose name I will have to look up.  (I have never seen this car in person or in photos).  There are a total of four Caterham in Alaska, to the best of my knowledge:  my silver S3, a red S3 in Fairbanks, Jim's yellow SV, and the apparently-yellow one in Juneau.  Alaskaossie

For the record, here are three of the four Caterhams in Alaska, gathered together at one spot (Anchorage) for the first time -- My silver S3, Peter Marshall's S3 from Fairbanks, and Jim O'Malley's SV.

@Alaskossie  Thanks for confirming Tom.  You can have two yellow Caterham SVs in Alaska - who would have thought!

My old yellow car was bought by Jude L who drove it himself from NYC to Juneau (including ferry).  Looks identical to Jim's Caterham except that mine had a wink mirror and a green nose band.   I know Jude takes it on the ferry up to Anchorage - he was sighted up there by a friend.

Thank you for sharing the photo.

Croc,

Yes, Jude Lumba was the buyer, lives in Juneau. Ii have yet to meet him.  I learned that he once came from Juneau to Anchorage and back by ferry and road, but he did not contact anyone in Anchorage, so we were not aware that he had visited.

I'd love to meet him, but I rarely go to Juneau.

I didn't realize 170S came with drums and leafs? The K car thing does make more sense now with the new Japanese ownership however.

"Caterham 170S power is overrated!"

What is the smallest car you’ve ever driven? I bet it’s a supermini or a city car of some sort, maybe a Volkswagen Up! or a Mini. But what if I told you those were positively lardy, basically podgy old things compared to our latest test car. Lying? Nah, it’s the Caterham 170.

This Caterham weighs less than a Grand Piano, it’s thinner than a 12-year-old is tall and has an engine capacity exactly the same as two cans of dandelion and burdock. So, it’s a bit weedy right?

Wrong, wrong, wrong, oh how wrong can you be. This might actually be the most fun car in the world, and certainly the happiest one we’ve yet to try. Tiny three-cylinder Suzuki engine, c450kg of mass, no power steering – these are the components for a lot of fun."
