Silber Posted October 7 Posted October 7 The car show wasn't today, but this screenshot is. My work had a car show recently and took photos of entrants as they arrived and shared them in a great way to get some perspective on the sizes of different vehicles: 7

Like so many I’ve only ever seen the track via TV or racing photos. I had no idea that it was built up as high as it is along the “new” start/finish, pit lane area. Thank you for letting us mere mortals live vicariously thru your adventures.

It’s even more stunning setting when I am near the top of the circuit and can look across the valley to see the pits a very very long distance away. The new pedestrian bridge built to replace the former now destroyed tunnel under Eau Rouge provides for a new vantage point. But at least at the pits you can rehydrate with essential liquids. The proud NJ owner of a new Caterham 420 Cup is popping his Spa cherry tomorrow in a rental Caterham with his son. I am proud to yet again facilitate the destruction of someone else’s 401(k)! By the way, did people find the French and Dutch track day reports in the articles section put there a month back? 6 1
Croc Posted October 9 Posted October 9 Just a lovely Fall day at Spa-Francorchamps. pissing down. Hot bonnets are excellent for drying wet gear. Rounding up the cars while slithering around. 8a402dd0-9e2c-48de-9e68-412b92d25076.mov 8
JB455 Posted October 9 Posted October 9 Errands are more fun in a Seven. I had to run up to New Preston to make sure the Airbnb was all set for this weekends guests, and since the Seven gets nearly 3 times the gas milage of my F-250, it was a no brainer. The fact that it's an absolutely gorgeous fall day is just icing on the cake! 9

Croc Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Changing from full race wets to intermediate/dries In hindsight this was ambitiously early - still quite wet on track. Lots of opposite lock action and front end pushing. 6
CBuff Posted October 10 Posted October 10 (edited) Is that to make sure the track photographer has good lighting on your face? Vanity run amok Edited October 10 by CBuff
Xhilr8n Posted Saturday at 06:09 PM Author Posted Saturday at 06:09 PM My pal Tray piloted the Seven while I enjoyed a ride in the Elise for first time in a while. First cool morning of the season, good turnout. 1
Marek Posted Tuesday at 12:43 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:43 AM @ptegler The nose of your car has so much room! I'll take a comparison shot the next time mine is on the lift. My water radiator is mounted behind the front suspension and the, fairly large, oil cooler is sits in the location of your radiator. The packaging works because the 13B is so small. But the cooling efficiency is not as good as it should be. This picture and the NJMP weekend thread has been good motivation to motivate progress on the my Seven instead of other automotive distractions.
ptegler Posted Tuesday at 04:30 AM Posted Tuesday at 04:30 AM rad is only 3-4" behind the grill in the nose
