The T128 was launched online on 31 January 2011.[2] Team Lotus retained an unchanged driver lineup in 2011, with 2010 drivers Heikki Kovalainen and Jarno Trulli racing the T128. It was confirmed that the team would start the season without the Kinetic Energy Recovery System, but senior figures suggested they would adopt it if the car proved successful,[3] however the team continued for the rest of the 2011 season without KERS. The team changed from the Cosworth CA2010 engine used in 2010 to the Renault RS27 series, as well as exchanging a transmission developed by X-Trac to one built by Red Bull Technologies. The design of the T128 also incorporated a "bladed" roller similar to the one developed by Mercedes in 2010, but thicker and with sturdier air intakes to conform with FIA regulations. hollywood2311
Seriously thinking about that green Caterham on BaT. Wife might murder me, but at least I'd die happy. Might have to sell my Fiesta ST daily driver and drive my 2000 XJ Cherokee in order to get it though.
Kitcat
Current price on that car is way low. If it goes for under $22K I wld consider it a steal. Esp since another poster on BAT says he drove it recently and it was a solid car. My standard refrain is the only thing better than a new Caterham is a well used one (because all the bugs have been worked out). As we all have posted many times, se7ens make poor daily drivers so the Jeep may have to serve that purpose.
Croc
I agree on value Kitcat but I do have some open questions on the BAT Caterham that have not yet been answered: 1) How is it titled (year/description) and is it clean? 2) Who did the front end repair and exactly what was done? (e.g. replace steering column, wishbones, etc) All the other noise around cycle wings out of place, shoe size, "eccenctric wheel arches", etc is irrelevant - you can reposition those yourself. You cannot fix a bad front end repair or salvage title as easily. Sort of surprised the BAT format has not surfaced that detail already?
