Wayne, thanks for the quick reply. I do have a shipping drop in Buffalo NY or they could go to a friend in PA. As to selecting a shipper, I don’t have a clue. The key would be the packaging. My experiences with having delivery companies pack have not been overly positive. If there is anyone one you could recommend, it would be miles better than my guessing. Regards, John

Well, do to the low demand for this fabulous Stalker XL and newly painted trailer, it is likely that it will no longer be for sale by the end of the week. I had a trailer repair company address the rusty metal bits and then had them repaint the trailer in the flat black specialty bonding paint.

The “Picture I took of my car today” thread revealed that some of us have shared time with a Europa. Here’s Black Beauty 3841R again. Brought her home on my 55th birthday. Dad owned some Dodge and Plymouth dealerships back in the muscle car days. Once when I was about 20 I was out with Dad buying cars. We went to a Ford dealer somewhere and there sat a perfect JPS. Dad knew that was my dream car. And that I knew he could buy it for me. We were there to buy cars, but cars to sell for profit. Dad said, and I told this at his funeral. “You’ll have to do that for yourself son”. It took 35 years but it came true. Thank you Dad for helping me believe it could happen. There are other stories with this wonderful little car. I am sure that everyone who posts here about their Europa wishes they knew where she was now. I titled this including that we have had a Seven in our garage at some point too. So the thread might not get scarce so quickly

Sorry, we're getting a little off topic here but I had to join in. Our 1973 TCS (registered as a ’74) was yellow. After a Jeep Cherokee ran a red light and drove over the front end it spent a year in the body shop. During that time I decided to have the colour changed to red. By the time it was finished we had become a family of four. So we sold it to a young mechanic who lived in Toronto. Years later he decided to strip it down to restore/repair/modify it. I’m sure I saw it up for sale as a stalled project a couple or three decades ago. I have no idea if/when it sold or where it is today. I’d like another one but I’m very picky about them now having learned all the problems that came with them after owning one.

I see in your signature, that you & I have a lot in common - I had a '72 Europa Twincam for 21 years. Sold it in 2001, due to lack of garage space. Replaced it in 2007 with an Elise. Added a Seven in 2015. Enjoying both now, immensely! --Bob Collum

Could someone with this stuff in their head tell me the specification for the brake shoes for a 1962 Series 2 America? They appear very ordinary, but as usual the parts dealers name the more common cars that use them but not the Lotus Seven. Thanks.

We had a long weekend up here so Sunday afternoon we took a drive. We traveled south east about 27 miles on nice sweeping back roads to fill up with fuel. We save on average 32 cents per liter, ($1.12 per US gallon) by buying on the first nations land. We continued back west along some very scenic roads approximately 39 miles to arrive an hour early for the Sunday Cruise Night in Trenton, Ontario. We ate an early meal on the covered outdoor patio at the grill overlooking the parking lot and watched as others started to arrive. It was a great turnout for the first show of the season with 110 registered cars. Dozens more came and went over the course of the evening. By 7:30-ish we were beat and decided to leave. We drove almost straight north the 14 miles to arrive back at home. In total about 80 sunny, fun filled miles. Tonight, (Monday) was the Brighton Ontario Cruise. The wife spent all today working in the garage to make room for her new to her Spitfire and was too tired so I did this event solo. The first photo was taken at the Trenton show and the second photo at Brighton. I put the plexy wind defectors on just for show. I prefer to drive with the doors on to cut down on the wind.

Not that I know of, because I only ever filled it up with 5 gallons and then added 5 gallons to an empty tank. But it is easier to immediately stop the flow than a can that's tipped over. The dispensing lever on top is spring-loaded.

William is correct with the post and files. I grabbed the STL from there, then uploaded and ordered through Xometry (a contract 3d print company). I had them printed in Nylon 6 CF (carbon fiber), solid infill. It was about $50 shipped. They came out pretty much perfect. I did need to widen the hole for the door post - pretty minor!
