  1. Why not just recover the ones you have. Any good upholstery shop can do that for you for the cost of material and time I would think. I redid one in my wifes car after the dog decided to use it as a chew toy, used the covering as a pateren for the replacement and unless you look at the stiching up very close I do not think you could tell which one the dog chewed up.
  2. Now that is funny.......especially Saturdays forcast....
  3. Well another year is about to come to an end and the start of another which is the norm and I am sure glad that it is that way and that the Mayan Calendar was wrong. I just wanted to say Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to all and to say thanks for providing many hours of enjoyment and entertainment and information and the meeting of new people by providing us all with this great forum. Thanks again.
  4. That is great. There use to be a steam train club just south of Santa Barbara, CA. up on the hillside but sadly it is now gone due to the gent that owned the property passing away.
  5. A good massage therapist I would suspect.....or good drugs or booze right after the performance.....
  6. That is funny and worth the view.
  7. I have been following this thread and have to agree with MoPho in his last post (#22) and especially with this line "Just like alcohol, there is nothing wrong with using it in moderation."
  8. KiwiBirkin, Good to hear you have settled into life in Australia and now have your 7 back on the road. Your Jeep looks good an should be lots of fun. Might I suggest you get a small air compressor for the jeep so when you do get stuck in the sand and you lower the air pressure in the tires to make them softer to help them float on the sand you can then air them back up once you're on hard pack, also a winch and some sand auger stakes might be appropriate to care when you're out chasing the waves on all those beaches with than new long board you now have. Looking forward to more photos and videos of the new places you will be exploring in both vehicles. :driving:
  9. Hi Steve, You might want to put the O2 Sensor bung on the inside of the collector next to the body as this will help protect the sensor and the line to it. You also want to make sure the sensor bung is in the area that has full exhaust flow from all the header pipes so that it reads the total exhaust flow and not just one cylinder. Here is a JPEG of a 3D-Model of a four into one collector with bung to show you an example. Hope this helps.
  10. From one scratch builder to another that is very nice. :cooldude: I like your dash layout, much more though out than the way I did mine. Post sme more photos when you have the time.

  15. That sure is a great commercial.....and lancylad is correct as it did it to me also but also made me laugh and smile with hope that the after life is like that.....oh wait I am living it now.
  16. Hi Tom, I know how that is with the insurance issues as we found that out with the quake insurance in 1994 after the Northridge Earthquake that not a whole lot is covered, mainly the physical structure and not much else especially if you do not live in the property full time. Oh well life goes on and we all get older and memories fade so keep a smile on your face and good thoughts in your head and all will work out in the end.
  17. Tom and Mike and others on the North East Coast, So how are things shaking out now that a couple of weeks have passed. I hope it is getting back to a some what normal condition for you all.
  18. B-T, Thanks for the other photos. I think the car looks great and if I where looking to purchase another seven type sports car I think this would be one that I would have to consider as it appeals to my minimalism taste and it is unique.
  19. B-T, The green car in the photos looks like it would give an Atom a run for its money. I like it a lot. Are their more photos of the green car that can be viewed or a web site one can go to to get more information.
  20. Coveland went out of business I think four or five years ago. They where trying to make a round tube locost frame and I think they produced two or three before they went to the wayside. They also where trying to make replacement parts to the best of my knowledge for the locost community. I am not sure but I think it was a rebirth of the closed CMC Locost business that was in Florida but was relocated to upper New York State as it showed up on the different forums about the time CMC closed its doors. Seem to have been a promising upstart that just fell pray to the down turn of the economy. Just my belief which should be taken as a grain of sand in a playbox.
  21. Well I spotted a red seven today on the road that I have not seen before in my area. I was driving in Oxnard, Ca. on Vitoria Way and was at the intersection of Gonzales Drive when my wife pointed out that a 7 was getting ready to cross Vitoria and asked me if I knew who it was or if I had seen that 7 before. I was a little surprised by the sighting and could not say that I knew who it was nor had I seen the car before. I almost turned around to go chase it down but we had to be at an appointment and I did not have the time so I was unable to follow it to find out who the driver was. The 7 looked to be a Caterham as it crossed in front of us. It was red and did not have the spare tire on its mount but had the mount. Top was down and the roll bar was black which is not that unusual. The cycle fenders where also red and the exhaust was on the driver’s side and had a black heat shield over the muffler and the head lamps looked to be black also. The fellow driving it seemed to have the usual smile that we all seem to have when out driving our cars and was wearing glasses. Sure wish I had grabbed my phone and snapped a photo of the car as it passed in front of us. Now I am wondering who it is and if the car has been in the area long or was just passing through. Hopefully someone on this forum might know who it is as I would like to know who the driver and the car are if that is possible. By the way it was a great day for a drive here in the Ventura and Oxnard area. My wife and I happend to be in my Miata and had been talking about the fact that I had not had the 7 out of the garage for a week or so now and that we should have had it out when she spotted the seven which makes me wounder even more about the car and its owner.

    Man's House

Those photos are cool. The wine rack table is a good idea. I actually have a set of the Wrench ware (knife, fork and spoon) that is shown in the third photo. They came in a little black plastic tool box. Yes the Wrench ware was a gift from my wife.
  24. Sure hope you have antifreeze in your cooling system. Great photo for showing Snow Clams as someone else stated in another post.
  25. Nice. I used a cable and end connector that I purchased at the local bicycle shop to do the samething.
