  1. 23b replica. One for the folks that love to build: https://www.hemmings.com/blog/2019/05/08/hemmings-find-of-the-day-1999-xanthos-23/?refer=news
  2. The turn signals seem like a good idea, but it's one more electrical to keep working.
  3. Great job. A nice, useful mod.
  4. I notice that the Slingshots all end up customized or painted special. The new Pantera? Before they were actually sold, I was a bit excited at the idea - $20k for brand new! Once I saw one, I was very disappointed that it does not have anything my Birkin misses, one less wheel, etc.and weighs 500 pounds more. Just too heavy. Frame looks like NASCAR roll cage and the Fiberglass is really thick. Great concept (take that, regulators).
  5. Not much to do with a Seven, other than the inspiration for the Elise, with a couple photos. Essential viewing for Elise fans. https://www.hemmings.com/blog/2019/04/21/a-bit-more-of-a-dynamic-car-how-lotus-created-the-elise/?refer=news
  6. Croc, Thanks for clearing that up. I guess we should stop making fun of the way you talk.
  7. Croc, or other informed person, Explain why a double anti-submarine belt is better than one. If you have two, they are so close at the contact point that it may as well be one? Depending on "which side you carry on", I don't see any benefit. With a 5 pt., you won't submarine and the rest of the harness is held in place? More important to pull everything tight. I have see many that do not. When I rallied, after a multi-day event I would have bruises on my shoulders. I liked that.
  8. Ah yes. The front engine juniors are so under appreciated. Seems everyone wants a lot of power. (Don't get me started) The juniors are beautiful, like a 3/4 Formula One from the fifties. Sounds like you had good fun.
  9. Seems I remember a post about a new project a couple weeks ago. Someone with a handle similar to Alligator denied it and insisted there was nothing new in the works. NOW there is something new. Hardly seems fair, with such a collection already. Giving anything up?
  10. Lucky, See if your state has a paper tag for temporary use. For example, in Texas, I got a 30 day temp tag for $25 (actually many times). Beats a rush job on a trailer, and takes the pressure off the INSPECTION/registration process. Used the frame number, insurance, and no inspection required. Most states also have a "trip tag" for unregistered vehicles, but you would fudge a bit, since you're not going anywhere one way, but it may give you something to laminate and hang on the car going to inspection, etc.
  11. Project? Yes, we loves Project. Tell, Master Croc.
  12. At last, the cone catcher photo.
  13. If one is only going to hit cones (not tire walls, etc), you can use a cone catcher. After a couple repairs, I decided to let the cones suffer. (Darn, nevwer had a problem attaching photos before)
  14. But it is funny. If they knock a 0 off the price, someone would drop in a SBC and be a hit at the next Grassroots 2019 Challenge. Or end up like the mythical guy that put a rocket in the back of an old Chevy...
  15. Croc totally missed this one! Being a Texan, the seller is willing to take trades. https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/d/kerrville-rare-1958-vintage-custom-mini/6832559618.html
  16. I kept my face straight. How much was the bet for?
  17. BAT Stalkerr: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2004-brunton-stalker/?utm_source=dailymail&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2019-02-23
  18. Just noticed that even the dolly has holes. Colin would be proud. All it needs now is a loose wheel. http://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=14235&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1529872475
  19. Ron. Thaks for the video. Real World in sport cars is the best. -Mark
  20. Thought it was the store where your wedding registry was! :smilielol5: Now that is COLD! Wish I'd have thought of it.
  21. If you can stand ramps, Harbor Freight has aluminum 6' ramps for about $100 (set, with coupon). I use them with my tilt trailer because it has a bed all the way across and the approach angle won't work. U Haul will want to know what car is going on the trailer. I rented from them twice with the Birkin. I gave them the weight, dimensions of tire contact patches (inside and out, etc). They had to call HQ to get the OK, but finally did. They have 2 sizes of car haulers. Make sure the person you talk to is not thinking you want a tow-dolly. The only way to know if they will approve the mini van is to ask them.
  22. For those into all things Lotus. Gathering of John Player Special F1 cars. https://petrolicious.com/articles/this-is-the-biggest-ever-gathering-of-john-player-special-lotus-formula-1-cars?mc_cid=3da950874f&mc_eid=91a163d9d9
  23. " or possibly a new one I had not heard about." What!! Croc, the Guru has not heard of ?? I move we assign Croc the job of registrar of all cars Seven. (thought he already was) OK, mine is Birkin Chassis #410. Start the list. Mike
  24. You could have one made to look just like youur own: http://www.mycaterham.com/17619/4886.html
  25. "Travelling without my computer this morning." How can that be? Croc without a computer? No, I must have read it wrong. Is it possible that such a high tech, up to date, civilized man is in a location with no computer? Mind boggling. Back in the out-back? Climbing the Matterhorn? Unbelievable.
