  1. That is a very nice offer! @Croc I have my Hans but curious, is NJMP age checking those and requiring re-certs or are they just happy you have one? Edit: Re only 4 people - As far as registry I'm 100% in just pending getting around to it for the track day. Lodging is already booked so I'm committed.
  2. A bit more info will help find a unit. "decent" is vague. Do you care if it's solid rear years? Do you need SV? What's the budget? What does the weekly sales thread not satisfy? All 7s fair game or are you looking for a Caterham?
  3. Another shakedown run today with no issues Came across something even older than a 7
  4. Re: insurance. I keep stuff in the trunk. Makes it a little more sympathetic when I get pulled over when I tell the cops I have to get out to get paperwork. Alternatively get tunnel pockets. For battery I recommend lithium ion battery. Solves a lot of problems. Also for hood removal I recommend making a hood mount on wall to make it less of a chore. Hood is off often and always a problem of where to put it
  5. Tonneau is all installed. I just have to match the door to the ones on the body. Not too difficult of the task but haven't gotten around to it
  6. Room has been booked. Advice to rest. Book a accomodations early.
  7. Very impressive diagram. That should be added to the tech files on site. After the plethora of cooling issues with my Zetec I've ended up having everything dialed in at the end. My OEM temp gauge has the fan kick on around indicated 80 and car actually runs on the cooler side most of the time now. I strongly recommend a see through coolant filter for troubleshooting cooling issues instead of doing it literally blind and having it pass a pressure test before going too far into sorting out other issues.
  8. Maybe this thread will lead me to finally put mine on too My only advice is to get a proper rivet clamping tool. Made my life a lot easier for all the related projects so far but does come with a cost It seems expensive but when you consider the cost of car, the cost of doors, tonneau and whatever else you might install and cost of mistakes it seems a lot less expensive after https://www.sailrite.com/Pres-N-Snap-Fastener-Tool?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwyJqzBhBaEiwAWDRJVDgP8858WJDv7mMDG3VpVlURhIkD2_u7gfTdvNSYjVYW4UjjZ1ut5xoC09gQAvD_BwE
  9. These? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361739457589?epid=1542750106&itmmeta=01HZZWB0GSJHSRSE1AV6EAP1D4&hash=item54395a1435:g:LRYAAOSwD1Jk5F4b&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4L7Dx--7AGY27DkUMon1YBEukgTbi4aSKoJtxLPD4sOl7qUDcCsWXEfr9JtLgfi8SAy0vMHSEFuhUrFqY3Nb3%2BfzlkpDvBIr6S369dxXk6Ryf0ff2VGNZNULUVACVH2lOzq3RkQ8tPGalgkGDkK6C2YqMeNKuf7vNl3j1ZqVjQUSohaMpcMdh5I2y8Hy83TkSu4WkS74x%2FjX1bpeZdKauzSKHFaT2Hi3jaQVoQLvFHq%2Boo3VpALp5unOTrWcAeZI%2FViogAFYBHaRISG0PjhDhUZnni6iGkEBNvl61r%2BOeJ7e|tkp%3ABk9SR8aIrPz_Yw
  10. Small solicitation here. Consider becoming a "Club member" to give @JohnCh a helping hand with the thankless service or keeping this community going behind the scenes. This forum single handedly changes the ownership experience for the better and the small fee on the grand scheme of things helps things going. I've never donated or contributed to any free online platform even after owning one myself but the folks here really go above and beyond to help each other and after they did it for me it seemed silly not to give thanks back. Added bonus, your user name becomes red!
  11. See you in NJ this fall for NJMP 7s?
  12. That's just the thing. Took the power probe to it. It wasn't live 12v, it also wasn't ground and alternator was already grounded. Hence I just left it alone for now. So far so good after a 5 mile test.
  13. Alternatively trade somebody for a Zetec car
  14. I've seen a carbon fiber heat shield before. It's not commonly available but obviously something that can be done. Carbon shouldn't retain heat or be able to transfer is in a bad way (needs to be verified)
  15. Things are back together. Left the one "extra wire" off the alternator. Still not sure what it did but doesn't seem it was helping. Installed a volt meter and took it out for a first trouble free drive in probably 1.5 years now Volt meter is installed onto the windshield heater fuse for power. Seems to work alright.
