Exactly. What is the advantage of running a line to a header? I can see filling and bleeding benefits. But is all the extra plumbing really necessary? Do Xflows run better with a bypass circuit?

I have seen several ways to route, or not route, the coolant line that runs from the head to the water pump inlet, with or without a heater installed. I have seen: * the coolant pump port capped. * the coolant pump port run to an elevated header tank (with a top radiator bleeder line run to the tank) *The head coolant outlet port run to the coolant pump without a heater in between. I am very interested in learning what has worked for you guys. As for my car the ports are capped but I'm not opposed to doing something with that head coolant flow if it improves cooling. No, I'm not installing a heater.

What are the issues with a current Caterham? I know that at some point Caterham raised the bonnet height to clear taller engines and current Caterham S3 bonnet should be shorter than a Lotus spec bonnet. I only ask for the learning.

This topic is golden. Too bad the subject doesn't mention the heating discussion (at this time). all this valuable information could be better located in the future. My input here is only to share that when I took my Xflow water pump off, I found it to be 100% clogged with congealed goop. If you haven't had the pump off and the cooling jacket flushed, might be the thing to do.

I had no worries about emissions...Gas burners run very clean now. I will say that its nice to not go to fuel stations. Charge at home or work place and eliminating the gas station is something I think a lot of folks don't realize how nice it is.

what discription of goods are you importing it as?

Its to set the bonded bushes in the stance that we tighten suspension on the ground

Most tanks mounted in the "triangle", in front of the pax foot well, usually clear. Is your setup different?

History.... that pic was days after I took possession. the previous owner had made a Lotus clone, even with Smiths gauges. The first thing I did was return it to proper badging. I do realize it's necessary sometimes to register your 7 as a Lotus and badge it up to pass the scrutinizer, I'll accept that.
