  1. Burton has 2 mounts that I looked at when putting a T-9 in my Westfield GBT9400 is listed for T9, but was wider than the tunnel I went with GB2E400, same basic unit but narrower How far apart are those mounting holes? dimensions are on Burton website
  2. I put a pair of these on a Formula Ford a couple of years ago, still going strong https://www.ebay.com/itm/161389461993?epid=1029951318&hash=item25938fc1e9:g:tC4AAOSwRLZUA9hy
  3. the top line to the header makes filling so much easier with holes in stat, the air comes out much better every manual heater valve I've used will close completely off to the races for the weekend I'll ask our engine builder if there is any internal bypass in a Kent, but I don't think so in vintage racing, most people are running stats in Kents it just makes everything simpler no need to worry about correct restrictor, or how much radiator to tape up
  4. Formula Fords have run for 50 years with no bypass and if you have a heater installed, and the valve is closed........
  5. option 2 header tank on firewall bottom of tank to pump port port on manifold plugged couple of 1/8 holes in thermostat bleeder from top of water outlet to top of header tank
  6. Taylor has been closed for several years Scott Young (former employee) took over the Hewland part of it, don't know if he works on anything else sy-gearboxes.com ---I think
  7. Pete's a good guy https://totalprecisionengines.com/product/ff1600-custom-rolling-engine-stands/
  8. my pre-lit Westfield measures about 126-127 without spare tire carrier, but with nose on I'd think diagonal, on it's side, would be fine
  9. What's the powertrain in the Stalker? How difficult to make it compliant?
  10. Whoever designed that original setup certainly knew how air cooled VW"s work LOL
  11. is this it? https://www.burtonpower.com/tuning-guides/tuning-guide-pages/ford-2000e-bullet-gearbox-guide.html
  12. you DEFININETLY need the pliers

  14. with a "regular" crossflow, I got mine behind the carbs --pre lit westfield LHD
  15. I've always found MM very helpful. As opposed to Victoria British, who were real idiots
  16. Looks like fun YEARS ago, I put a 13b in a Lotus 51, made one hell of an autocrosser Don't run it without figuring out the oil situation, or at least dumping some in the tank for insurance. I left the stock mech system on mine, never had a problem, it just uses crankcase oil.
  17. It looks like a Herald/GT6 upright. Everyone thinks they are the same as Spitfire, but they're not. According to Moss, the same lower trunion serves both. So, a pair of trunions 661-445 and 661-455, and 2 bushing kits 661-485 should fix you up
  18. I took one out of my Westfield over the winter, went hydraulic, but it's only about 48" long..... Burton has several lengths available I think this one is QCC1010 I've not seen bike stuff nearly big enough for clutch---throttle, all the time
  19. There was a test of oil filters on an episode of Engine Masters if you can find it. They were using a V8 on the dyno to test different brands of filter for flow rates. Testing for GPM I don't remember any of the numbers, but I'm sure ours are a lot lower A friend who builds them (FF) says he's never seen a number
  20. They started making these again several (10-12?) years ago. They are a better unit now. Dimensionally the same, but some casting upgrades like stronger bellhousing ears and so forth. Also uses the 2 liter thrust washer, which is a full circle setup instead of the original half circle.
  21. If you go with new parts for dry sump, budget more like $2500. I did my pre-lit Westfield this winter, but I had used parts on hand, basically all expense was for hoses and fittings. You will only gain an inch or so clearance, because the bottom of the bellhousing still hangs down there, but the filter moves as well.
  22. no idea
  23. according to the Burton catalog: "english" axle was in anglias cortina mk1/2 escort mk1/2 base model capris "atlas" axle was in capris and cortina 3/4/5 on an english axle, the gears come out the front it's a "pumpkin", like a ford 9 inch atlas has a cover on the back, like a chevy
  24. that's my guess sure enough -see you in June? I'll be maintaining a Titan
  25. No data, but I remember rumor's back in the day that clams made the front end light at racing speeds.
