  1. Skip, have u on over to FM to see how much of an improvement over the stock caterham lights? While its a good deal, is it an improvement over the reflector housings and lenses we have now. otherwise I'll have to have Mazda or gert figure a way to use the million candlepower spot lights as headlamps and melt the cars in front of me.
  2. ya know, if hank just updated his shifter bushings he would look like the combined gyrations of a baseball pitcher and hitter
  3. she gets around...
  4. can it be be JDM tyte, if its still in Japan? it has a lot of individual aspects which i really like. not sure if they work together, but its a damn sweet piece of craftsmanship.
  5. congrats
  6. is the car being trailered to the track? if thats the plan, have 2 sets of tyres. How many miles of street driving is planned?
  7. bump for those who needs to take Santa's coal and make rubber with it. expires in 2 days.

i would beleive u win the snowball fight when u draw a 9mm. Granted its DC, so teh officer expected someone else to pull a piece too.
  12. Toyota is making 3 billion in losses for '08 and '09. but the sentiment is close to the mark. Ford does seem to be turning it around.
  13. :svengo::smilielol5: let upgraditis continue. i'd like to see the new caterham graphics, teh double stripe and side side w/ name in black on the silver. i think that would make it really sharp. and waiting for it should keep it siting still tll 2011:deadhorse: congrats on seeing it nearly finished. sucks as old man winter has now crossed the continent.
  14. unsnap all but the front or rear snap and rotate the 1/2 door up, scissor or lambo style.
  15. ^^^ congrats
  16. what was the starting handcap, looked like the Stig's liver was made of steel. Seems like a hysterical way to pass an afternoon. actually looked quite similar to any of the local PCA autoXs
  17. 2nd'd. another little nusance that points me to swapping my 15 yr old subaru w/ a recent drivetrain as opposed to getting a new STi. the cars aer being dumbed down to teh level of teh drivers exams!
  18. nest week can be because of barnacles due to global warming.
  19. a 3 ton jack isn't going to be light. even if aluminium, it will be heavy. my last few jacks have been Arcan units from Costco, and my local one has the heavy duty unit(lift an Escalade w/ a newborn's pinky). I beleive its all steel, but tons of mechanical advantage and high lift height. not a very low profile unit compared to their aluminium 1.5 ton jack. u can always drive a se7en on to bricks or wood planks before jacking.
  20. if u don't have a camera setup, the go pro set ups are very good. the HD version is an immense improvement on top of that. I expect its only issue will be wind buffetting in our cars. Other than that, there is the inherent problem of CMOS vs CCD. at this price level CMOS is what u'll find. I used an Aiptek HD camera starting this season and the picture quality is really nice, wind noise absolutely sucked even taping over the microphone opening. at the end of the season i picked up an inexpensive all in one bullet cam setup. wind noise is something i'll try to find a work around, and its not HD, but it doesn't have the shake issue that the weird shaped Aiptek can suffer from. the aiptek records to .mov files and thebulletcam is .avi files. thebulletcam.com unit -> Nov 1,2009 MetroNYPCA Tobay AutoX on Vimeo the other 2 videos are the aiptek unit. Really wondering what Randy Chase is working on. maybe the HD unit will be unveiled in 2010?
  21. to u and family as well Martin. And all of u out there in se7ens land!
  22. give that linebacker a hershy bar. w/ almonds. cause he nuts.
  23. i thought the kodiaks were 8" wide as well. were u running a 12" tyre on a 13x10?
  24. 10-31-09 NY BMWCCA AutoX on Vimeo 9-26-09 MetroNY PCA AutoX on Vimeo FTD run was 1 sec faster than this.
  25. Tom was using 13x8 correct? we was able to get 10" wide tyres on, so the A6 or beyond tyres should be mountable. Did the 13x9 fit the rear? If u become a member of the UK club, there is a group buy on Compomotives, or if u can get involved w/ that as non-member(i'd get in too) u can get some good 13x8s. i think at 255/275 u'd be overtyred(sic) and then would be playing catch up on the power end.
