  1. The standard uprights are actually pretty good so no real value changing them newest filed do balky ones but don't save much. Definitely change the hubs for Ali ones as the weight saving is considerable. Rally Design inn the UK did some great colored anodized units. They also do a nice Wilwood brake caliper conversion kit too but that is probably cheaper to buy here.
  2. It's Cortina uprights. But this looks like a prelit set up which had s different bottom wishbone but I believe interchangeable with later ones. Check out the WSCC forum on the UK. Lots of good stuff there. I will dig out pics of my later setup.
  3. Carl. Did all the work myself. I used the Omex loom which I found to be very good. At the time they had a standard and an HD loom which I used as the car was a comp. car. Fitting everything is pretty straightforward although care needs to be taken with the small items like temp sensors to ensure compatibility. Don't underestimate the cost though as TBs, fuel pump, regulator, return fuel lines, crank sensor and new steel pulley, TPS, air filters, etc all add up. And then the fun begins with the set up that really must be done on a rolling road to get it perfect.
  4. I had a a Crossflow Westfield in the UK running Jenvey 40 TBs and an Omex 600 unit and it was very good. It is an expensive conversion for minimal power gain but does allow multiple maps to be loaded when required and allows for excellent ignition timing mapping. All the systems are essentially the same and Omex sell most of the components direct.
  5. Just bought some Busch aluminium polish and on a trial it seems great. Online only I believe. http://www.buschshineproducts.com/ Was highly recommended.
  6. Mine came with the rubber mats that are totally useless other than for bunching up under the pedals when you get in. They went out and a nice shiny aluminium floor it is. BUT! When my wife gets in the car with white pants and the residues of the ali polish appear as black marks there is trouble. I speak from experience!:cuss: OK, yes I did polish the floor!
  7. Yep. Thats exactly what I am after for my floor. Anyone with contacts in NJ who do floors like this as top of my list of Spring projects? Rather smaller garage unfortunately. I am also considering a lift rather like the black one in the picture to store the Caterham 'up top'. (before I build another garage) Any recommendations?
  8. Shame that, Let me know what you think of the car. I will probably call in tomorrow anyway for a browse.
  9. If you go Saturday, give me a shout as I will be passing through Hopewell (I assume the car is there?) on Saturday and always need an excuse to stop and gawp at those Astons I cannot afford!
  10. $15,500 is a great price for this and I am also tempted for track only use. Having got my Crossflow up to scratch now and probably too nice to thrash on a track, this really makes sense! Hmmm... How about getting together and purchasing a 'USA7's club' car, keep it at NJMP and thrash the **** out of it on the tracks!
  11. A seven with bonnet straps just seems weird to me. I cannot say I have even seen one. As suggested, it works on a Morgan but the unsupported Alumunium bonnet on a Seven is so light it would just cave it in and the vibration would ruin it. My suggestion would be don't do it.
  12. It is great to see more North East initiatives like this emerging. Top Marks Bill!
  13. Sorry for the poor smelling, crap tryping on the iPhony.
  14. Very nice! My wife has given md s birthday present of a garage refurb. Yes, really! An is nice new floor with sparkles, fresh paint and fitted cabinets, workbench etc. No. I can't believe it either! I will post before and after pics for sure.
  15. Good to have Nordic Zbrits on the forum. I am originally from the UK, now living in New Jersey. (Actually in Prague Just now on business). Sweet looking motor!
  16. Planning to attend but not quite figure which nights I need to book. Can anyone clarify. Nights of 2nd, 3rd and 4th? Would that do it?
  17. Nice idea as I was looking for tires today. Web link for SascoSports - http://www.sascosports.com/
  18. I don't have any headrests at all. Recovering the cloth seats is an idea though. still need any headrests I can get hold of though.
  19. Still trying to find a pair of headrests to suit my S3 seats - the standard dark grey cloth ones. May have to resort to new ones but they are eye-wateringly expensive so last option. Other alternative is a set of S3 leather seats (with headrests of course). Anything out there?
  20. Sounds like you had a good time, waiting for the pics/video. Weather was pretty good. Just seen the article in Low Flying today. Well done for getting the coverage Croc!
  21. Beautiful, I keep looking at he images. I agree very refreshing to see such a simple original car. Not sure the water bottle is quite in period though.
  22. Woke to 10 in of snow to add to the misery of no power today! WTF!
  23. We are a little inland closer to Princeton and watching. been raining for 12 hours or so and pretty wet and windy already. Still got power!! May be the last post before all goes dark! Take care all East Coasters!
  24. No snow here in NJ. Great blat this morning. 65f!
  25. I have the single adjustable alloy bodied versions with height adjustment on my Cat and they are great. Totally agree that double adjustable is probably not worth it unless you have a lot of time and knowledge to set them up. This is the third car I have put Gaz shocks on and they have always been good. Two sevens and a great Peugeot 205 GTI (I really miss that car!) Dont be tempted for the rose jointed versions either unless you are ONLY using on track, they are very harsh on the road.
