  1. Holiday in the UK tomorrow as well so earliest is Tuesday for Caterham to respond. Try Redline as they may have one and Chris may be able to respond faster than Caterham. Ping him on one of the Caterham Facebook groups.
  2. I replaced my standard bolts with capheads last time the seats were out. Now using an Allen key makes this job much easier.
  3. There are a number of threads on the Lotus Seven Club forum on this. https://www.lotus7.club/forum First check behind your seats as you may have brackets attached to the rear crossbar. It wasn’t for belts, it was for a different seat type, but can be adapted with a spacer and bolted through the floor. The other most common option is on the same bolt as the lap straps. The forward crossbar is too far forward for the belts to function and not a great idea to drill that anyway. That Sparco harness looks like it will need modification to use bolt in fittings.
  4. Looking for an FIA rollbar to replace the weedy standard bar on an ‘85 Caterham live axle long cockpit. Tried the usual places but not easily available. Needs to be sound but I can repaint if scruffy. Thanks.
  5. Some good models here. http://www.lotusdriversguide.com/Modelcars/seven.php.
  6. I may be interested if you have a set going. Can you PM a pic?
  7. Unless the wishbones and top links are really rusted, just a clean and repaint should be OK. All bushings can be had from Redline in the UK and relatively easy to replace using a press. Don’t bother trying without one. Great service and knowledge from Chris Mintoft. http://www.redlinecomponents.co.uk/ They can supply springs and dampers although there are many options available either from Caterham or independent suppliers such as Redline, Merlin Motorsport, Gaz, Avo etc. Start with Chris if you want standard spec.
  8. I’ve always found the standard Triumph brakes sufficient with Mintex 1144 pads. Use appropriately moderated leg effort rather than brakes that lock up at the first touch. Braking efficiency is as much to do with tires and suspension as calipers and pads. Brakes are overrated anyway. Who needs ‘em!
  9. I’ve used these for years and have always been reliable. http://www.burtonpower.com/petrol-king-fuel-regulator-8mm-tails-fsefpr008b.html
  10. If a bench seat you can put spacers behind the seat to move all forward. Wooden blocks of some sort work well use. Escrow if you don’t want to drill. My car had this when I bought it.
  11. The best option may a new one be directly from Burton Power. Not a bad price even with shipping. http://www.burtonpower.com/bellhousing-rs2000-dual-lhd-rhd-bh3.html
  12. Hi Wayne. There are more HPCs in the UK so I suggest heading to the Lotus Seven Club forum. Fairly sure you’ll find the answer there. https://www.lotus7.club/forum Redline components in the UK would also have the answer. Very helpful. http://www.redlinecomponents.co.uk/ Ordering the correct parts from the UK can be cheaper than trying to source items here.
  13. This is the direct fit alternator. I am not aware of a US supplier although not too expensive even with shipping. Burton ship same day and generally delivered within a week. http://www.burtonpower.com/lucas-acr-style-60a-alternator-rh-mounting-acr60rh.html
  14. My Caterham had very small pieces of white Velcro on the tip of the wing and the car. Enough to grip lightly although they do just stay in place anyway.
  15. http://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=13186&stc=1 Just left the driveway, appeared to have lost a cylinder and a very tappety noise. Not a great start. Pulled the rocker cover and frontmost post bolt had sheared! Maybe came loose over a period of time I don't know but appears to be the only damage. Just need to remove what's left of the bolt in the head. The steel shaft doesn't appear bent but I'll replace anyway. Long time since any issues like this but maybe I escaped OK.
  16. Looks like standard Caterham fitment Triumph Spitfire spec calipers. I have been using Mintex 1144 compound for years and been great. This is the spec you'd need. https://www.meteormotorsport.com/shop/caterham/brakes-pads/mintex/mintex-1144-caterham-standard-front/ You should be able to source in the US.
  17. Generally an easy to find Triumph Spitfire part. Try Moss Motors. http://www.mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=116139. When refitting, ensure it rotates, not tight. You may only need the stainless sleeve and new bolts.
  18. Dave. Tried to send PM but your message quota is exceeded. Can you take a look please. Cheers!
  19. Aligned with the UK thread, there are a number of other tires discussed on Blatchat available for shipping from there. It was always a reasonable option, now even better.
  20. To be officially launched at Goodwood tomorrow by Caterham but looks like Goodwood put it out early! - https://www.goodwood.com/grrc/event-coverage/goodwood-revival/2016/9/retro-1960s-style-caterham-sprint-makes-goodwood-debut/ Looks great. Caterham probably had to buy up all the old swept wings from eBay though as they are not really in vogue in the UK!
  21. Very nice looking car. You'll miss that noise!
  22. I recently came across these guys who have wings. http://www.lotus7.com/Home.html Also worth a call to Redline in the UK http://www.redlinecomponents.co.uk
  23. Try this: http://www.burtonpower.com/camshaft-road-rally-350-296deg-a2.html
  24. This afternoon on Federal Road, Monroe NJ. Green seven on trailer. Looked like track car. Anyone?
