  1. I saw it. The lotus driver was just a kid. Didn't seem to have much experience and as most of us know, it's not the car it's the driver. Some of this looks very staged to me. Spin offs and then catch the guy? I Doubt it. It would be fun to watch Blubarisax car go up against them though. "Boy you think that little ole 4 banger kit car can hang with this big ole 572 Chevy?" :jester: Tom
  2. Hi Pete, I made the seat bottom with foam beads, a space saver vacuum bag and a two part epoxy mix, then coverd it in nomex fabric. Easy, cheap and fits great I have a box of beads left over that you can use. You'll just need to buy a large space saver vacuum bag, about 10 bucks or so for 2. And a quart of the epoxy which will be enough for two trys. I can walk you though the process. Just don't do it in shorts:willy_nilly: as the epoxy cures it gets pretty warm/hot. Make that real hot for what seemed alot longer than the minute or two that it actually took. :jester: Tom
  3. Dave D. Check your PM's :seeya:
  4. I was a little disappointed with Croc's design. I think he should have gone for an open mouth Crocodile with the visor being the open mouth. :jester::svengo: Tom
  5. Still time for a surprise at the 7's gathering in June then. :hurray:
  6. Karl, Only thing left is a Carbon Fiber helmet. :cooldude::lurk: Tom
  7. Alright, who's the wise guy that took the numbers 17 and 71:toetap05::toetap05::toetap05: I'm registered now. I was surprise at how many drivers are already signed up. I guess you are right Karl that this will fill up quickly. Those of you planning on joining us should get to it. Tom

  10. Good to here from you Ron!:seeya: Can't wait to hear the 2 liter Duratec R500 screaming down the main straight. I still think your car sounds the best. :cooldude: Attendance at this year's event is shaping up nicely. We have a legitimate shot at 12 to 15 cars this year. Let's go guys, don't miss this one. Tom
  11. You have a point there. You are WAY faster, must be the color. :driving: Tom
  12. Mike, as Croc said, it will be open Friday, Sat and most likely Sunday night as well. Dinner at the Clubhouse will be ideal, as most of us will likely stay overnight at the trackside suites and not having to drive after a few is always a plus. Only downside is the lack of the Saddlehorse, but I'll Check with Brad the GM to see if he can arrange an appropriate substitute. :grouphug::jester: Tom
  13. Congratulation Paul, Welcome to the nut house Nice meeting you on Saturday. First thing you should do is Paint it Yellow. :jester: That will definately make it faster. Get it shipped and hopefully we will see you out on track with us this year. Tom
  14. Yep, Croc says that it's cheaper, and since it's on the weekend it may work better for more people. Sounds like a party to me. Tom
  15. Ok here's the list updated. Obvioulsy there are alot more potential participants out there. Redgoose,Michael D., Stig, Jbvtte, Box, DaveD, Scott L. Come on boys throw your hats in the ring. Or are you Chicken.:boxing:
  16. I'm 6'1" with size 11s and fit fine in the S3, althought I did put on the tall rollbar for a little more room over the helmet for on track. When I sit in Karl or Croc's SV/CSR's they certainly provide much more room both in the footwell and the seat, but i feel more secure in my S3, vs, the SV, that is, I'm not moving around abit in the turns. I guess it's just a matter of preference. Sit in both and if possible drive both and see which one fits you better. Tom
  17. The SV or Series 5 (aka Sumo Version or Fat Bastard) is 4 inches wider than the standard S3 Caterham and a few inches longer too. I beleive that all Birkins are S3 size. The Long Cockpit Caterhams are the newer style since about 1986 I beleive. Kitcat has both an S3 Caterham and a newer Birkin, says that he believes the Birkin Chassis is the older Short Cockpit type. with less leg room. The wide track upgrade is comprised of wider front wishbones and longer shocks. This upgrade increases the width of the front track to that of the rear, supposedly aiding handling. I "think"all SVs are widetrack, but I know that not all S3s are. Tom
  18. Thats why we in Pennsylvania cling to our bibles and our Guns to prevent that from happening, fruitloops. :seeya:
  19. Jerry, how can you be so cold as to say that you don't want our goverment to take your money and give it to those who haven't earned it. My God man, What would they do if we don't feed them, house them, give them cell phones, and now internet service. :willy_nilly: I say ship them all out to California with all the other bleeding heart libs and let them give them their money. :troll::puke: Tom :flag: Sorry to ship them to you Martyn, I know you are not one of the fruitloops.
  20. Congrats Karl, Looks like you need to edit your signature now. :seeya::seeya: Tom
  21. Ok, I'll start the list to note those who plan to attend. DRIVING 1) Croc 2) Yellowss7 3) Bluebarisax 4) Kitcat 5) JBH 6) bball7754 7) Sabbot SPECTATING 1) CrewsT 2) Jeffs 3) S1Steve 4) Al Navarro? Maybes 1) EvilRome0 2) Jeffs
  22. :bigear::bigear::bigear: Oooo! So what did our little carbon tart buy this time? Croc, you'll have to buy a second garage at NJMP if you keep this up. So, what's the new addition? Tom
  23. Mike, wouldn't that weight restriction rule out your Fat Bastard sized 7's?:rofl::rofl: All kidding aside, now that we have a weekend option, we hope that all Seven owners in the area and those that are up for a bit of a drive/tow, can make it out for a really good event. As I said before the on track experience is a blast. NJMP has a nice facility and is a great place to get your car out on track and explore the capabilities of you car in an enviorment that is a lot safer that trying to do it on the street and The off track banter alone is worth the drive. For those of you that don't want to track your car, there are lot of nice roads in the area. Several wineries, Atlantic City and the New Jersey shore is only about 35-40 minutes way. If some one wanted to organize a scenic drive option for those not doing the trackday, I would be glad to help coordinate routes, etc. Last year we had 9 Caterhams on track. Croc and I are hoping that this year we can surpass that number and get 12 to 15 out for the weekend. Taber, Box, Slingshot, Al/ Bessie,S1 Steve, Klasic69,Be there or be Square.:seeya: Tom
  24. Don't know if you have experience on NJMP tracks, but the March 17 date might be a good opportunity to try before our 7s gathering. They will probably post a few more as the schedule shapes up. http://newjerseymotorsportspark.motorsportreg.com/ Tom
