Any pictures of the Birkin engine compartment, I requested several from the seller (way before it was on BAT as well as on BAT) but never received any. Also, nice FPSB , is it a MK I, II, II.5, III, III.1, or a new MK IV (I've built "just a few")? What drivetrain, suspension you went with? Bill S.

Seller states that he took the pictures just yesterday and that the supercharger is in the nose cap/cone area. When asked for additional pictures, seller states his phone broke. Nobody else at the shop/dealership has a working smart phone or camera :willy_nilly: -

Already titled, it's easy as crossing your T's and dotting your I's, regardless of how the title reads. Not yet titled and still on MSO, again, it's as simple as calling (609-292-6500 extension number 5064) the special titles division, and asking for the "kit car" package. Follow what is in the package to the letter, and besides the coin flip as to which inspector does the initial "safety inspection" (I liked Morristown for this as they were kit car friendly, but after Hurricane Sandy, it was permanently shut down after getting 11 feet of water flowing through it). Asbury Park is hit and miss, there is one inspector that hates his job, and thus makes your life as miserable as his. Have not had anybody complain about Westfield or Winslow, but that does not mean one is easier than the other, as it all falls to how good or bad a day each inspector is having. Where people run in to problems is not having the paperwork in order, or tries to reinvent the wheel (so to speak) by trying to title the car as a "historic vehicle" with a 50's, 60's, or 70's year filled out in the paperwork. The Special Titles Division is not full of stupid people, and they will reject your falsified paperwork and maybe even subject you to a NJ State Trooper hands on inspection, in search of stolen parts for your attempted deception. Bottom line, get through the safety inspection first by following the letter of the law and everything as spelled out in the "kit car package" Hope you find this helpful as well. Bill S -

This one is posted to the Superformance owners group http://superformance.org/forsale/SV102416KH.html Besides the questionable hood scoop, I'm thinking this may be a good deal for someone. Bill S -
Well, it was an all original, under 20K original mile, 1972 Mustang convertible, so that might have had something to do with it.

I recommend: https://www.schumachercargo.com/ Last trip for a vintage Mustang to the UK (roll on/roll off) was four years ago, price dropped off at the docks in Newark, NJ was $2,100, delivered to the buyers door just north of Yorkshire Bill S

If you are using a Ford based immobilizer key set up, you may need to get a new key, as the micro battery located within the old key may be failing. Strange as it sounds, I've seen it before, mostly on the early Fusion/Focus cars with the immobilizer chipped keys. Just more food for thought besides looking for a loose connection (which you should still check for on every connection due to the amount of vibration the chassis takes)......... Bill S -
I'm thinking that once you opened Pandora's box back on 08-09-2016 at 03:18 PM in THIS THREAD you brought about extreme scrutiny on your car and it's paperwork. In the two dozen kit cars I put through the PA system, in all kind of title circumstances, I have never had a team from "Quality Assurance" ever come out to view the car and/or it's paperwork trail. I'm thinking your "enhanced inspection" mechanic either flagged it, or called and flagged it as he was clearly unsure of what he was inspecting, or how to get the paperwork through the system efficiently. Unfortunately for you, all Harrisburg eyes are now on you, your paperwork, and your mechanic, you will now have to jump through the flaming hoops they lay out in front of you, in hopes that they will guide you through the out of the box process they are now forcing you to use. My further advice is to learn, and use the following two phrases "yes sir" and "no sir", and resist any snide remarks such as the bumpers on Harley remark you stated above. PA DMV/MVS agents take their job very seriously, as they never know when they are being tested and taped for internal investigation purposes. Paranoid is not the word, but is indeed the mindset for any field agents of any PA state run agency these days. Remember that. Can't say I didn't try. Bill S

That is surprising, but yes, the PA enhanced inspection process has been greatly improved since the early days where it took months to get the paperwork and inspections done. My last one (circa 2012) saw a 10 day turnaround with the title in my mailbox. Once you get the new PA VIN tag (mounted on the passenger side firewall in the upper left hand corner), you can go get your plates and be on the road legally with a huge smile on your face. Bill S
