Xhilr8n Posted July 29 Author Posted July 29 (edited) Looks like this was a tough site to start a photos page on. Especially if you’re left handed. Have to rotate it 360 degrees in an edit app to get the site to take it, and then the resolution gets clipped a lot. Then if you screenshot it it’s too big to upload. Trying to post a clear image of this art is a real challenge. I finally just gave up after quite a battle. I understand needing to limit the size of the data we want on the server but it’s disappointing. I’ve posted thousands of images on various sites mostly car related and never had this issue. Well, the resolution maybe 10 years ago but not recently. This is a lot of the fun with this internet thing. Edited July 29 by Xhilr8n
theDreamer Posted July 30 Posted July 30 This was how my car looked last Friday covered in sanding dust from other people's cars. The only repair work done in 80+ days was to rearrange the front fender to as close to the correct original factory shape as possible and then fill the cracks and breaks with goop so it keeps that shape. It has since been moved to the mechanic's shop and he was to start replacing parts this afternoon. Providing he doesn't find any issues and his alignment machine is repaired this week he should be finished his part by the end of next week. 2
IamScotticus Posted July 30 Posted July 30 (edited) I would have pulled out my car for that dust. Oh, you'll never need that much washer fluid Maybe to wash off all the dust Edited July 30 by IamScotticus 1
Austin David Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Neighbor and I went to a local car meetup on Sunday, parked in the shade. We saw this hilarious shot after the mustangs cleared out. 2 3
theDreamer Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Today’s photo, left suspension removed and pickup points tweaked into position. A arms took the brunt and they tell me the chassis is fine. New suspension will be going on tomorrow just so they can roll it around the shop. It has to be parked in a corner until the “correct” rack arrives. The one they received is a newer beefy looking alloy unit and our car has a much smaller diameter steel unit.

Tomorrow begins week 16 of the long sad tale that started early on the morning of Sunday, May 4th. Ever the optimist I’m hoping the correct parts for the mechanical repairs will be here this week. Once the suspension and steering rack are done it will get a four wheel alignment. Then it’s back to the body shop for repair and paint.
