Croc Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Even worse he has bought a CSR! In silver, same as mine! Oh the shame. Oh the humanity. :bs: HERE I don't think I can drive my car again and need to sell it for something less metrosexual and more masculine. I am not into full Brazilians so I like hair on my chest (legs, arms, back, groin, etc). A Brunton Stalker perhaps? I suspect I am safe posting this - this forum with its misfits and oddjobbies is unlikely to appeal to someone like him! :rofl: On the good side for a moment, this has to be the first time when I am ahead of someone trendy on a trend curve. :blueangel:
blubarisax Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Next thing you know he will be posting here and maybe even join us at NJMP! Really Croc, the only thing you can do is have your CSR painted orange or yellow so you will blend in with the rest of us men...
yellowss7 Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 I hope he chooses ORANGE. :jester::jester: Tom
Klasik-69 Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 He did pick a nice looking car. I was surprised how low he sits in the car with his head clearly 3" or 4" below the roll bar. I really can't stand that arrogant smug SOB but he is plastered with money and can afford any car he wants. I would have thought the 7 to demand too much of an input from him. He'll tire of it shortly and I can buy it for around $15K............................maybe. What's that you say, there isn't a tooth fairy ?
Croc Posted October 2, 2013 Author Posted October 2, 2013 What's that you say, there isn't a tooth fairy ? Sure there is! He is driving a silver CSR in Beverly Hills! :jester:
JohnCh Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 First the new Aero Concept car, and now this. Has Caterham finally jumped the shark? :jester: -John
scannon Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Low rider: Simon looked quite comfortable in the luxury sports car Did he have A/C, P/S, navigation and a host of other luxury options installed?
vmcdemo Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 I don't think I can drive my car again and need to sell it for something less metrosexual and more masculine. Croc, I'll take your car off your hands of i'll trade you the Evora if you like:)
xcarguy Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 I suspect I am safe posting this - this forum with its misfits and oddjobbies is unlikely to appeal to someone like him! Simon who? :smilielol5:
Boxologist Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Don't worry Mike, no one will confuse the both of you. I figure that car will be polished quite a bit.
lucky dawg Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 I can barely fit tools, a sweatshirt and lunch in mine. Where will he find the space for his ego?
coffee break Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I wonder how much hair spray he needs to keep his hair in place.
Mondo Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Now now... he's probably been on this site using an alias to get ideas. Saw Croc's car and had to have one. Probably pissed that he didn't get the new 620R though. Ok Simon, you can come out now. I'm sure you can tag along with some from the California Caterham Club... first timer buys lunch for everyone though;) .
scannon Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 A confidential source told me today that the car in the article does not belong to Simon. I couldn't pry any other details out of the source. I think Croc must have loaned him his car for a test drive. Fess up Mike, Cowell is apparently in the process of ordering one so perhaps he will get the 620R.
lucky dawg Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Here are a few answers from a June article: http://cars.aol.co.uk/2013/06/10/simon-cowell-to-introduce-caterham-cars-to-america/. Also raises a few questions, such as: 1) How did he get it shipped to the US; 2) How did he order an R400 and get a CSR; and 3) With the Caterham backlog, how was he able to order a car in June and have it in his driveway 5000 miles away less than four months later?
xflow7 Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Oh dear $deity. The headline of the article lucky_dawg linked: Simon Cowell to introduce Caterham cars to America And here was I thinking that *I* had a Caterham for, lo, these past 11 years. That is some kind of wicked fraud I fell for. I feel bad for all of you chumps, too.
lucky dawg Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 In fairness, that headline was not supported by the article. No indication that Cowell is a spokesman or associated with Caterham in any way. Yet.
xflow7 Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 In fairness, that headline was not supported by the article. No indication that Cowell is a spokesman or associated with Caterham in any way. Yet. Oh, I know. My beef was just with the headline itself.
Simon Cowell Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I thought you guys were so nice and pleasant, welcoming new members to the fold but maybe I was wrong? As I have sad before, my attitude is, if someone's going to criticize me, tell me to my face! Si (Mr Cowell to you guys)
