Wow. I thought I had a Mini with flares once, but those are some flares!

Scott, Cardboard? How about some shellacked cloth? Loke a bi-wing plane not much older than an original Seven. Easy to repair a tear (not dent) and any design you like.

Something out of the ordinary, very well done. https://click.member.hagerty.com/?qs=eyJkZWtJZCI6IjNjMGFkOTVjLTllYTYtNGIxNS05MTQ2LTZkN2VhNTNhYmNiNSIsImRla1ZlcnNpb24iOjEsIml2IjoiTGxsQ0VBdkw0V3preXVBcTRVdkQwZz09IiwiY2lwaGVyVGV4dCI6Ik8xMG4wVVYrOEZEZlJ6czkxR1JKcnNZcENqb3hBbGdkVnJkcndkcG0reXdDMVo1MkRNUXFmQ0dkVWt6NHFldW5SQituWFdjRWN3Q1M0VFZNV0E5YXF6c3ErRUJFV0poaUxsbENFQXZMNFd6a3l1QXE0VXZEMGc9PSIsImF1dGhUYWciOiJrdUUxVEZnUFdxczdLdmhBUkZpWVlnPT0ifQ%3D%3D

Applying Aerodynamics to Lotus Seven-Shaped Objects
panamericano replied to CBuff's topic in General Sevens Discussion
Re @Croc 's point #6. A friend was mechanic on a Can Am car in the old days. Big (early)aero. The driver routinely took a curve at say 100 mph. He did a cool down lap and had an off at 70. -

Is that the whispered about...Cat Kong? -
For a Fly & Tow, I don't see using rental truck and rental trailer. Cheaper to hire it out. Of course a bit depends on what the car is and it's value. At least three times I just rented a one way truck and carried the car inside. No good tie down points, so I used lumber nailed to block and brace the car. Load and unload at any near-by shop with a ramp type lift. Think muffler shop. Also used tilt bed tow truck. Easy. Don't think I told the rental folks the cargo. Any how, if you can stand an open carrier, hiring out will be cheaper, unless the flight is required for the deal.

If you do improvements to the car, the value would seem to go up. Hagerty let me raise the agreed upon value 10%/year a couple times. No questions. Just said value was up and they adjusted the premium.

Well done.

It pays to let both parties have a good experience. If you beat the seller down too much, you might never know what he can with-hold or give.

Forget the displacement. It was a racer. It was easy to change classes by changing little things, like an engine. With the info you have, you might contact International Motor Racing Research Center. They maintain the SCCA archives. More history on a car makes it more valuable and interesting than a 100CC.s

I don't care you are, that right there is pretty cool. -
Don't know what you need VIN wise. But on my early Birkin, the chassis number was under the rear roll bar mounts. I had to pull the roll bar to show my friendly police officer.

Yes, he did it on the side. Unfortunately, not a great commercial success. Nifty little car though.

Speaking of spars. If you have a trailer built, get it with the same bolt pattern as the towing unit. You might be able to have an extra spare that way, if it fits in the fenders. Only one spare means that if you have a flat and mount the spare, you then have to get the flat fixed immediately. Otherwise you're running with no spare. You can finish the day if you have another spare om hand.

Seven guy takes quick photo of Rocket. Love it. Too bad they don't still make that.

Trump on the list? What if? And cookies!
panamericano replied to IamScotticus's topic in Politics, Religion and Controversy
"My intention of this topic is to encourage opinions as to the prospects of the current Epstien situation creating a short term ..." I know so little of finances, so yield to bigger minds and pros. But, @IamScotticus, Trump, Epstein, etc. are nothing related to our current "bubble." In the end, for every famous republican caught, there will be an equal democrat. Power, money and position subvert (pervert) (corrupt?) equally. In the end it's a wash. I think the public, if watching, likes the spectacle, but won't really react in any way related to business. DJT's lewdness is already well known. Fat figures hit Bold? -

The easiest explanation for Title/No Title is that the previous owner kept the title to use on a better car. Wouldn't be the first time. -
I would have voted for a Polaris, as sold in their Slingshot. 2 L, 210 HP, naturally aspirated. Looks to be compact as well. Produced in Canada?
