  1. 1) I did the bottom first too. 2) Don't remember exactly but I had different washer thickness on the left and right sides to get it centered. 3) I used anti-seize too. What helped me getting the upper bolt in was taking a 2.5" x 1/2" bolt and chamfering it and then putting that in from the nut side until it lined up. Then I took the long bolt which I didn't chamfer (didn't want it to rust) and tapped it in until it pushed the chamfered bolt out through the nut side. Worked great for me.
  2. They look like Revolution 5-spokes: https://revolutionwheels.com/product-category/road/5-spoke-classic-road-wheels/
  3. Jimmy - I sent you a PM.
  4. If you want a quick solution but not necessarily the cheapest option you can try a set of sprint car chassis stands. https://www.racecareng.com/item/1580358-chassis-dollies?category=115994 They're good for up to #2000, and I've been happy with the mobility of being able to move my chassis around the garage and even swapping end for end in literally seconds. I did end up using a couple heavy cable ties to secure it to the stand for extra security and haven't encountered any stability issues. The legs are a little close together but I'm able to fit my creeper in between so it's worked well for me so far. My car is further along than in this photo, I really need to start a build thread....
  5. My friends early 90's X-flow Caterham has the same clutch slave. He bought the car with very low miles from Christ T at Sevens and Elans. The original was leaking so we replaced it with the same setup as your replacement. I know we spent some time adjusting it before we could get it to work properly.
  6. Congrats Mike, really loving this build!
  7. Cycle the hazard switch a few times. The turn signal wiring goes through the hazard switch and sometimes that can contribute to the problem. Congrats on the car! I remember the auction on BAT.
  8. This is the starter I had in my old 2001 Birkin with a Zetec motor.
  9. Love it!!
  10. It was too bad that Ethan Shippert had a mechanical issue because he was having a good battle for the lead with the Acura early in the race. Would have loved to see Craig and Ethan battling it out for the lead late in the race. Congrats to Craig for driving a fast steady race and bringing home the gold once again! This time in a Super Seven!
  11. It looks like FP is running on Friday at 3pm. Good luck Craig and Ethan!
  12. So I checked the weights from my shipping scale and came up with the following: Ford flywheel: 15.68 lbs Ford fly/clutch: 28.36 lbs Prem Power flywheel: 7.74 lbs Prem Power fly/clutch: 14.88 lbs This includes the clutch disc and pressure plate but no hardware.
  13. I'm in the process of building my 310S. Everything I read said to go with the Premier Power lightweight flywheel/clutch setup as a first mod. Not cheap, but the quality looks to be really nice and it cut the weight almost in half from the stock Ford setup. I'd have to check at home but I think it weighs just under 15 lbs. .
  14. How about a Home Depot run in my old Birkin.
  15. Sold for $30,250. Seems like really strong money for a crossflow, 4-sp, live axle car. Nice color combo and it looks really nice though.
  16. Weatherpacks are a lot easier to source, that's for sure.
  17. You're welcome, glad to help.
  18. Steve, I just purchased some of those econoseal J series connectors from this place: https://www.corsa-technic.com/category.php?category_id=109 I ended up getting several 4-way connectors and some extra pins and seals just in case. The prices seemed decent and I had the parts in less than a week. Could have been 3-4 days but can't remember. I'd buy from them again. Hope this helps.
  19. I appreciate the photo and ideas guys. I think mounting it on the firewall on the passenger side is the best setup for my intended use. Thanks!
  20. I've started work on my '19 310S build and was considering using a battery cutoff switch because I'm planning on using a Lithium Ion battery. I have a leftover battery cutoff switch (with alt protection) that I didn't use on my Birkin that I hoped to use. I had seen that most people that have them in Caterhams install them in the triangular cutout on the RH windshield post. When I look in that area on my car it doesn't look like there's a lot of room there with the windshield wiper motor. Can they still fit in that location or are they typically installed on the LH side windshield post on a LHD car?
  21. I think the only event open to spectators this year is the Sunday car show, not the Sat or Mon races. I'm pretty sure I'll either be working on my Caterham or riding my MTB.
  22. Wow, very nice. All three cars!
  23. Looking good Henry!
  24. Just saw this series of restoration videos on YT: https://www.youtube.com/user/MyAutoProject/videos
