I don't know... the new Tesla Model S is pretty freakin cool. And depending on how nice it really is, 50 grand might be pretty reasonable. It seems to have the range, style & practicality that is desirable (to me anyway). http://www.teslamotors.com/models/

I don't use mine because I'm afraid I'll forget it (one warped disc later). For all you non-WCM folks, our E-brake is a tall lever in the passenger footwell, under the dash... not really visible from the driver's seat.

I remember, as a marine brat in the late 60s, taking a truck similar to that out in the middle of the desert for a boyscout campover. I was thinking that as the wars wind down (hopefully they are) there should be some good deals on surplus military stuff.

I don't understand the need to keep paving more of the road.... it kind of skews the time records when they do that. Plus it just makes them go faster. The combination of surfaces is what makes Pikes Peak to me. Perhaps it's for the locals that have to drive it regularly.

John, Don't know if you remember this thread about teflon coated joints... it's what I'm going to do. I spray some motorcycle chain wax on them but the squeaking comes back after a couple hundred miles. http://usa7s.net/vb/showthread.php?t=3624

I don't think I've been in 18 degree weather my whole life (over half a century). Can't imagine experiencing it at speed. But I have spent a considerable time in 100 plus temps.... at zero speed, stuck in traffic. ,
