  1. Could you please post some photos of this oil pan? My baffled, front sump pan from Dave Bean many years ago is not totally effective. I’ve heard about an oil pan from Ivey, but don’t know any specifics. Distance from ground to bottom of my sump is 3.5”. Thanks!
  2. Thanks for posting this, I was just looking the other day for 50th anniversary stuff. I think I’ll stop at a t-shirt, the bags are a bit much.
  3. Hi Ron, I sent you a PM.
  4. @toldfield Thanks for posting that list, I didn’t have that. I use the same sources for parts. Chris at Sevens & Elans knows these cars very well! @Rooster18221 Photos of the brake lines are below. MV8 gave some good suggestions. I have 14” wheels on my car and fitted Falken Azenis RT660 in 195/60R14. Good grip. Take care to keep the circumference of your tire about the same so as to not affect the speedometer or gearing. Plus, there’s the ground clearance issue mentioned.
  5. Hi! My car is a 1985 live axle, so likely not much different than yours. Picture below shows the brake master cylinder. Is that like yours? I would be glad to talk, FaceTime or Zoom to try and help better understand what your problem is. Send me a PM.
  6. Thanks for the mention of the Ital Axle article. I’ve attached it. Ital Axle Debate by Graham Sykes.pdf
  7. Timely topic! I recently ordered 161-100 wipers from Moss Motors. These are stated as being for Sprite MkI-IV, Midget MkII-III thru '67. They are what I ordered from them in the past. This time they did not fit over the bayonet! I ended up removing the rubber from the new wipers and and put them onto the old ones. Mine is an old car, 1985, so your wiper arms are likely different. The last time I used them in the rain, they did the job acceptably.
  8. Not surprised that it was RNM at $41,000; it’s a new car! Patience is necessary, there are more cars out there.
  9. There is this, on Bring a Trailer. The car is in Michigan. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2019-caterham-280r/ Edit: I see that you’re already aware of this one.
  10. Can you take the doors off? It looks big, the guys driving look like they sit very low as compared to the dash sill. It’s a lot different than a Caterham.
  11. Suggest you contact Chris at Sevens & Elans.
  12. I’m running a set of 195/60R-14 Falken Azenis RT660 SL. Wear rating of 200. Not much time on them, but they throw pebbles into the car, so reasonably soft compound.
  13. I am going, but will take the Elise.
  14. Try Chris @ Sevens and Elans. Always helpful to me!
  15. Thanks John. A little more helpful than the blank picture in my post. Hope this helps Larry.
  16. This is what came with my car, a 1985 Twin Cam.
  17. From time to time I look at the Westfield XI or better still (because the engine is in the right place), a Xanthos 23. I like the audacity of the Morgan 3 wheeler, but I’m not sold on three wheels.
  18. Drove from Jamestown, NY to Boston, MA in three segments for a Sevens Owners Gathering. The liquid refreshments at Faneuil Hall were much appreciated. Passenger was reminded that a $20 bill goes out the car fast if you don’t hold on tight. Detroit to Corning, NY for LOG in one shot; that was 448 miles. Shipped my stuff and helmet since there were two of us in the car. Working to make it trustworthy for more trips!
  19. Bet it is rectangular due to the seat belt mounting; a dependent option.
  20. 1985 car: rectangular tube.
  21. Hi and welcome! Hope you find it or an acceptable substitute! I brought my car back home after seven years away and even though there’s a lot to do, glad that I did.
  22. Hi Seb and welcome to the area! I live in Canton. Maybe we can get together some time.
  23. I’m sure that I would appreciate more power than I have currently, but I think the point is that with a Seven, it’s all sweet.
  24. Look fine to me! Do they weigh less?
  25. There is this: http://lotusowners.com/RepairsUpgrades/Stock Tank Conversion/index.htm Kind of sparse. Tony V. would know more.
