Great work! As for the battery, I have a Braille B2618 in my car. While it's not a cheep battery, it does start my LS6 with no issues.

However, let me clarify (and sorry for misleading), I view the individual posts as being purely an owner’s registry rather than build threads such as those found in the Member Rides file. To reiterate, one post per owner with very basic information about their car and the owner having editing privileges of his/her particular post. Using my car for example, the original post (representing when the car was first built) may have read something like this: Manufacturer: Brunton Automotive Chassis: #85, Classis Stalker Title/Titled as: 1964 Lotus 7 Engine: L67 Supercharged V6 Transmission: 1997 Camaro V6 5-speed Rear end: Solid axle with Torsen LSD, 3.45:1 Color: Red Now that my car has undergone drive train changes, I could go back and edit the post to reflect the car’s current status, such as: Manufacturer: Brunton Automotive Chassis: #85, Classic Stalker Title/Titled as: 1964 Lotus 7 Engine: LS6 V8 Transmission: Tremec TKO 5-speed built by Liberty Performance with .82 OD Rear end: Solid axle with Torsen LSD, 3.23:1 Color: Red Something you hit on, as well as others on this thread (and it makes really good sense) is to simply put all of these owner-specific posts (for lack of a better term) in a single thread labeled Owner’s Registry, or something to that effect. This could be placed in the General section as a separate folder or perhaps placed within, with a default to the top of, the Member Rides folder. Another idea within the thread would be to limit each posts title to simply read Birkin, Caterham, etc. (maybe chosen from a dropdown list created by the moderator). Once a post is placed, have the post to ‘post’ alphabetically (yes, yes, all Birkin owners to the top ). If two posts are placed on the same day, and each post is of like manufacturer, allow each post to ‘post’ alphabetically with respect to time and date of entry. However, the one place I could see the ‘manufacturer’s title’ idea posing a problem is if someone happened to own two Lotus 7 style cars with each car having been produced by a different manufacturer; case in point, DE in Kansas owns both a Brunton and a Birkin. In that case, the owner could request/receive permission from the moderator to place a second post within the thread (each post representing each car). Here's a thought (or question) that's more for the forum moderator. Is it possible to: A) create a thread for each manufacturer; B) to limit members to post once (one post per thread) within a particular thread (would prevent the threads from being hi-jacked); and C) allow any member unlimited editing of his/her particular post within the thread (allows for changes regarding a car's status or, for example, adding an additional car of the same make)? Again, just a thought.

A thread could be started for each make of car where each member could post his/her car specs (just one post-nothing more) on that particular thread. Might work as long as the thread doesn't get hi-jacked . . . just a thought.

Pete, When I purchased my car (for the second time), Mike Sharkey had put the Ultra Shield seat in (driver side only). I later purchased a new-in-the-box matching Ultra Shield from another Stalker owner who had custom low-back seats built for his car. I got the second seat at a very good discount so I pretty much have Ultra Shield seats by default. I will say the The Ultra Shield seats are comfortable and work well for me, but it's simply a matter of what seat you want in your car and how much you want to spend. However, I will say this, since I changed the harness mounting points to SFI specs, it has made a world of difference in how the seat/harness combination compliments me once belted in. Several folks I have known, including myself, are guilty, or have been guilty, of mounting harnesses using the most convenient mounting points rather than the correct ones. (If I offend anyone on this forum with this statement, my apologies as this is not my intention). Long story short, regardless of what brand seat you go with, pay particular attention to harness mounting points. Shane

Never Dull: http://www.nevrdull.com/ If the skin is slightly scratched, and depending on how deep the scratches are, you can use various grades of wet/dry sand paper. For example, begin with a 400-800 grit and work up (numerically) to a 2000-4000 grit. Once the scratches are no longer visible, finish off with an aluminum polish.
