  1. CF can be used as heat shields, but beware not all CF will work. As someone said CF is often used in motorcycle mufflers, but only the good quality ones, a lot of the cheaper mufflers use a thin steel outer case with just a CF outer skin. I think it's the quality and thickness of the CF and the resin that is used to withstand the heat. We actually liked the metal motorcycle race mufflers because they can suffer an amazing amount of damage and still function, CF not so much. Graham

  7. At this years NJMP event I will be looking at anti roll bars to get some ideas for my Locost. I don't have either from for rear ARB's and want to at least add a front ARB. The rear will be easy but the front will be a little more challenging. It funny last year I was looking at Roll Bar ideas, This year it's Anti Roll Bar ideas, there is a theme here somewhere. Graham

  11. Blackhawk Farm just in the il/wi border, the old timers call the back straight dead deer straight after a motorcyclist chopped one in half, he lived to talk about it. Graham
  12. Autobahn, just outside Chicago has a special deer flag, if they see deer in the area they pity out the flag Graham

  14. Just got a message from TrackRabbit support "it looks like the late fee start date was set to 2019, so it gave you one wrongly. I've fixed it now, it should be all good." Graham

  22. In the first balancing picture, what is the sensor in between the cams, looks like a temp sensor. Whatever it is it has a nice blob of goop on the top! I would order a new one it looks like the connector has failed and someone has done a temp bodge repair. Graham
  23. "I then torqued the nut to 8NM", your not going to get accuracy with a torque that low (about 6 ft/lbs). The quality of the thread, the thickness and quantity of grease is going to have a huge impact. I would snug it up so there is just the slightest drag and no play. Dave is right about using washers is necessary to get the correct nut position. Graham
  24. Wow is right, that is going to make an amazing difference to the way the car presents, even the pictures are going to look much better Graham
