  1. Andy, you might want to look into the adjustable coil overs that QA-1 offers. I have them on my Fejer and they seem like pretty good quality (american made), light weight, good looking, and are reasonably inexpensive. Just a thought.
  2. Nice car. Dapper motoring attire.
  3. Cool video. The jag looks a bit skittish. I'm not sure if that's a seven or not. It looks to have a fuel cell on the back. There were a lot of racing 'specials' in the fifties and earlier, many of which predate the seven by decades, but look very similar.
  4. I'd also be interested to learn more the Fejer cars. I know that there are still a handful on Vancouver Island from an honest attempt at marketing the cars on the west coast in the early to mid eighties. I believe that the guy who was marketing them in Victoria through Canadian Sportscars Ltd (or some similar name) is still a member of the English car club out here. I'll try to see if he an shed some light on it. Unless I'm mistaken, I think that one of the period magazine articles on the cars stated that the Fejers owned the rights to produce the seven in Canada at that time. However, I've also heard that there was a lawsuit.
  5. I just had a note from a friend in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan a few minutes ago......minus 49 Celsius with the windchill factor. Yikes. Glad I moved.
  6. Getting back to your original question, if you've only got an hour or two a night to put a car together, then i would buy a built one and enjoy driving it while spending a smaller amount of time tweaking things. Perhaps not as rewarding in some ways, but far rewarding in others. Life is short. Enjoy it.
  7. Cool! I love the 160, I also think that the Evora may just be the best looking car since the Lamborghini Miura or the Ferrari Dino.
  8. Cool. I've noticed the striking similarity in body shape between a Willys CJ2a tub and a seven tub before, enough to consider a ratrod Willys inspired by a seven, only to see that there a ton of Willys ratrods out there, but they don't ever appear to have picked up on that similarity and usually end up fenderless. I'd never considered going the other way and making a jeep-inspired seven. Very cool.
  9. I've got a '38 Morgan F-type trike. Fabulous car. Very, very unique.
  10. Bentley & Daimler.Morgan
  11. Bentley & Daimler.
  12. I agree completely about the 160...brilliant idea. As for Porsche, at least they had the good sense to backfill the small and nimble slot with the cayman S. I would love for manufacturers to think "small, noisy and fun" as opposed to "luxurious, big and dull", but they gotta give the people what they want, which is unfortunately the latter.
  13. Well done, lad. There was/is an excellent old 1960s short film called The Ballad of Crowfoot by Willie Dunn through the National Film Board of Canada that is a similar style to this, although the subject matter was the plight of First Nations (Native Americans) since the arrival of Europeans. Very powerful messages in both of these shorts.
  14. Love it. Love it. Love it.
  15. I love the idea of the caterham 160. I think it's a real tribute to Chapman's original concept and very worthwhile direction in a world full of overweight, over-powered and overly luxurious fuel pigs. I realize that others here may not see it that way, but that's my take on things.
  16. Sounds promising, apart from the cross-over stuff. Does anyone have any further information on the 660cc that Caterham was contemplating? It's not mentioned here, other than perhaps hinted at in the discussion of city cars.
  17. Lovely model work and photography!
  18. Thanks for that reminder, 7 plus 2. I once knew a mechanic who was crushed to death under a vehicle when the jack failed. He should known better, but the result was certainly nothing short of tragic and preventable.
  19. It's unreal what these guys can do!
  20. I saw this article online. It discusses visiting George Fejer's Canadian Super Seven shop long ago. Not much detail, but a nice little vignette. http://amumagazine.com/?p=1185
  21. Hmmm. Hope this doesn't appear twice. I've got Konig Rewinds on my car (15X8s @14.5 lbs each), Good wheels and inexpensive. Probably not as nice looking as a mini lite, but passable. My only issue with them on my car, is that they protrude from beneath the clamshell wings slightly, but they fit the back perfectly. You could over come that by carefully selecting the offset or using winder wings or cycle fenders. My understanding is that Rewinds are a discontinued line for Konig, but are readily available on eBay and other sites.
  22. Thanks for that. I learned, from that last series of images, that the minuscule gas tank in my '83 Fejer is original as depicted in the upper left. You never know what you'll learn from studying pictures!
  23. Kinda looks like someone tried to drive a seven through an Opel gt and it split the Opel open.
  24. The list of Pro dealers on the HKS Japan Page is supposedly from April 2013? https://www.hks-power.co.jp/en/dealers/usa.html
