This is a special posting in honor of our hardworking USA7s administrator JohnCH. This is a Westfield that only he could love. This is a Westfield SE "Stinga"

Only asking Australian $18500 which is a measly $14500 in the United States with real money. I recommend it for blind motorists or those confident in their masculinity.

Croc, the hush you hear over the forum is the collective realization that you are in gross violation of Rule #3 from the Forum Rules Though Shalt Obey:

3- No links to sites with inappropriate content or links - this just brings us trouble via search engines.
I hate to end the year like this, but sadly your transgression leaves me no choice; it is with a heavy heart I must inform you that banishment proceedings against you have begun. I'm happy to reconsider reinstatement once you have paid an obscenely high fine and have sufficiently groveled before me to atone for your offense.

I would like to pay compliments to John who does a sterling unpaid job as an administrator to this website and manages to retain his sense of humor despite have to deal with people like me.

That doesn't meet the bar of sufficiently groveling, and my PayPal account is still empty. :)

For some reason this makes me feel like the Oglaf cartoons where the apprentice is groveling before Mistress. Given the errr....ummm.... 'raunchy' nature of those cartoons there is no way I would ever link those here as they are even more explicit than that Westfield (if such a thing is possible...) as both are NSFW. :nopity:

So my peace offering is beer credits when the next one of us is in each others city.

I'd say tar and feather him, but he might enjoy it too much

No feathers please, I have sinus allergies. But I love the smell and feel of high quality leather! :dead horse:

Make'm beg! Hangn's too good for'm!

I think Shane needs some disciplining too! :p

I fail to see the problem. Some forget that while beauty is only skin deep, so is ugly. Maybe it should be posted on LocostUSA site. (I'll leave it to y'all.) Other than the freight, customs, etc., all it needs is a quick stop at Harbor Freight for an electric saw and modest hand tools. Strip off all, ALL, (really, ALL) the visible body and replace with locost bits, and puff, a viable Westfield!

Fortunately for you I was raised a strict Catholic, and recall the nuns always harping on about forgiveness (and burning in Hell, but that's a topic for another thread), so... go to your room, say three Hail Westfields, two Our Westfield who art at Laguna Seca, and two The Westfield Fabricator's Creed, and provided you also supply sufficient beer credits, we'll call it even.

I just noticed that the Westfield Lotus 11 sold on eBay recently. That was a "nearly completed" kit with all of the necessary parts--BMC "A" engine, etc. I think someone got a great deal there, and I'm hoping it is someone in our community!

I saw someone's post on the MG Experience board about recently acquiring a Westfield 11. It wouldn't surprise me if it were this car.

Virtually no mileage (2500m odd). Says it was in a private collection all this time. 281cu V8 so should go. Asks strong money of $70k odd buy it now.

Great so what do you do with a showroom queen like this? You drive it and spoil the value from being showroom perfect or do you tuck it away in a collection as a dust collector?

In Honolulu there is a Birkin for sale at $19000. No pics. Titled in FL currently but may have CA history. Why don't I let you read the ad...

For sale is my Lotus Birkin Super 7. The car was imported as a rolling chassis and body from South Africa in the early 1990s by a builder of Porsche Speedster replicas who planned to expand his business to include the Super 7. The car is titled as a 1973 Lotus 7. The builder also actually has attached what appears to be an original lotus seven VIN plate to the firewall. I am not sure why this was done but I suspect it had something to do with California DMV rules. In any event, the car has a clean and clear Florida title at present, soon to be Hawaii titled. The new owner wanted a low maintenance, reliable twin-cam four-cylinder engine that had been designed for use in a rear wheel drive car, so a 1.8L Mazda Miata engine and gearbox were considered the best fit. He purchased the Miata drive train out of a nearly new Miata with 1000 documented miles. Thus, a nearly new drivetrain was obtained. Wilwood disc brakes were installed up front and the solid rear axle received brand new drums. High quality Fly Yellow paint was applied to the aluminum and fiberglass body and the interior was trimmed in black leatherette/vinyl. The car is complete with both a full windshield and the Brooklands screen included. A top, full tonneau and side curtains are included as well. The yellow paint and black interior are in great condition. This Birkin had traveled just 583 Kms when I purchased it two years ago and now has 1400 Kms on chassis and remains in excellent condition throughout. It is extremely fast and very well set-up. I have owned dozens and dozens of sports cars and this by far has been the most fun car I have ever owned. This statement is made having owned numerous Porsches, Ferraris etc etc. I was excited about this car in the fact that it could sit for months on a trickle charger and you can hit the start toggle switch and instant idle. . .no lotus twin cam head gaskets issues etc etc. If you want a really nicely prepared lotus seven that has Japanese-like reliability and low maintenance then this is the 7 for you. It has literally been sitting in my garage and not being driven. I am a busy professional with a family and frankly it needs to be in the ownership of someone who can enjoy her and drive her as she needs. My asking price is less than what a new Birkin kit costs. If you have any questions please feel free to email and I will respond asap. I'd consider a trade for a 4 door Pickup truck or land cruiser

This explains where the Miata drive train Birkin being discussed on another USA7s thread went from CA to FL and now in HI!

What is the Westfield Fabricator's Creed? 'Our Lord who art in fiberglass...'

You're mixing up prayers. It begins:

"I believe in Westfield

the Se7en almighty.

Creator of IRS and the widebody

and fashioned from glassfibre the choice of Colin Chapman.

Suffered under Croc from New York

who called it a Birkin and a boat

but ascended into victory in dedicated race series across the world."

I could go on, but then I'd have to move this whole thread to the "Politics, Religion, and Controversy" forum. :jester:

Croc,

You are usually right on the money about what is for sale but alas, there is a Brunton Stalker that has just come available for sale this very day. It is a 2012 M-Spec Stalker Serial #000 that was built by the designer/developer of the car. It is registered as a 1962 Lotus 7 here in Florida and is fully street legal in Florida. My wife and I have decided to move to a South Florida beach community and I will be giving up my 4-car garage home and moving to the beach. I will list the car for sale separately here in a few minutes.

However, I cannot seem to post a new thread on the cars for sale Forum. Could an administrator please unlock or provide the necessary permission?

Thanks

AstroBob

ahhh Bob - you had inside knowledge to out-trick me!

The reason you cannot create a new thread is because you are not a fully paid up member. At least thats what I think it is but an administrator will be along soon enough if you rubbish Westfields!

You can always put an ad on Craigslist and I accidentally "find it" and link it here.;)
