The Regular Summary of Classified Ads of Se7ens Found For Sale

Sorry but I won't be searching Facebook Marketplace regularly for this listings page. Cannot link outside the FB universe. The search engine is brain dead - where else can you search for a car and turn up cat t-shirts, a feather boa, snowmobiles or a Caterpilar D9 bulldozer but not a car. It also only has a range of 500 miles which makes it a bear to automate a search script for the entire country. I used to think Craigslist was a challenge. I am surprised sellers can sell anything other than by pure luck on FaceBook Marketplace.

I'm impressed. Didn't know a Champion could weigh only 700 pounds!

It genuinely did as the roller kit when it came out of the factory. However, once you add an engine, diff, prop shaft,...oh and maybe a gearbox....

Ah, now I have to find my own feather boas!

Oddly last Sunday I posted our old non-driving BMW X1 on FB Marketplace and negotiated a deal with 30 minutes. I was shocked. Buyer picked up the car Monday, cash in hand. Never bought though as I’ve got enough feather boas!

Oh. I see. The weight is in the OPTIONS.

Guilty of that :)

Keeping it in the state

Well done for snapping up that good deal!

Welcome to the forum!

There are a number of fellow owners around CT if you are looking for backroad blatting buddies - Paul (Wemtd), Jay (Black Hole), Seb. Bruce (11Budlite) is building a Caterham and will be ready for next year. As an ex-CT resident, I know there are some fantastic driving roads in the state.

The BAT Cat is offered for sale by fellow Cincinnatian, JonnyDutt. He has sold several over the last few years and always seems to have extremely well preserved, or well maintained, Caterhams. This current Caterham is a prime example. Rt hand drive, Vauxhall engine, it will be interesting to see how it does on the BAT auction site, which has been especially kind to Caterhams of late.

Thank you sir. I appreciate the recommendation and yes, some really fun roads on the western part of the state. Looking forward to immersing myself into this platform. Had some interesting experiences as i sorted a poor starting issue today :)

Kitcat, Can't say that I am overly impressed with your fellow Cincinnatian wandering all over the double yellow lines of country lanes demonstrating his 7 on BAT. I sold my last sevenesque car after disregarding my common sense one day a couple of years ago in the NC mountains with a bunch of Johnny Racer wanabees (Stalker Stupidbush aka Ambush) that should have been taking their stupidity onto tracks designed to have fun and reduce the chance of injuring innocent bystanders. I was frankly very disgusted with myself and remember giving up my sportbike buddies who were doing similar things at very high speeds on public country roads many years ago. When I mentioned to my sportbike buddies that we would all be going to prison if we had killed someone, their response collectively was "what's your point?". Having been a prison psychologist, I advised them that prison isn't a really fun place and you don't get time off for blats when you feel like it. They still didn't get it and at age 52, I actually grew up a bit and left my buddies that I had been hanging with for a couple of years in what I considered to be a stupid state of mind. That's what tracks are for. Sorry about the soap box and I will get off it pronto.

No argument Bob, it shows risky driving, with the risk being born, in part, by folks just out running errands.

In defense of this fellow Cincinnatian, tho, I'd note it was only 3&1/2 minutes long and was made to convey to potential buyers what the Caterham driving experience can be like. Also, he seems to be an excellent driver who was operating well within his skill level. And it was a mostly deserted road and he typically had clear sight lines so he was able to get over if and when needed.

I agree a race track would be a saner venue, but it wouldn't give a sense of what the car is like on the street.

IF this is his general street driving style and not a one time thing (which I doubt), then it is way too risky and he deserves to be criticized for it.

Thanks for your thoughtful insights Kitcat. Croc, Kitcat has admitted by self-proclamation to hold the secondary title of Sir Spinsalot! Someday, when things settle down, I would love to see both of you at NJMP and heft a glass or two. Bob
