11Budlite
Shouldn't the prisoner have red accents in interior? Overall seems like a good buy. They do, I think he's just referencing his license plate and the relationship to the TV series. He does state that it's a "Classic" model. A real Prisoner edition should look like this. Jonnydutt
Hi Guys, I just imported a TVR Griffith so going to let my 92 Super Sprint go, I just put it on the Cincinnati Craigslist, I have tons of pictures if anybody is interested, thanks, Jonathan https://cincinnati.craigslist.org/cto/d/cincinnati-lotus-7-caterham/6879468650.htmlhttp://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=15322&stc=1http://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=15322&stc=
John B
It's hard to part with a 7, but a Griffith will certainly help ease the pain. How 'bout a Griffith pic
Croc
Griffith? Oh now those like to hang the tail out! Like John said, Griffith pic definitely needed!!!
JohnCh
A single pic won't cut it. I suspect there are enough of us interested in the car that it warrants a thread of it's own! -John
Jonnydutt
Here she is, 1992 model with the 4.3L big valve engine which gives about 290hp and they weigh 2200lbs, heavy by 7 standards but pretty close to the weight of your average Miata. This is a pre-cat version with stainless exhaust and makes a lovely noise! I spent about 4 hours chasing modern Porsches around the back roads of Ohio last weekend on the annual Spring drive and it had no issues keeping up, it actually rides and handles very well!http://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=15325&stc=1http://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=15326&stc=1http://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=15327&stc=
Croc
Thats really nice. Dark colors always suited that design well. Aged very well for a 25+ year design. The only thing that missed its mark was re-use of Vauxhall Cavalier rear lights. I bet its quick - 2200lbs is still very light in production car terms
Kitcat
Very nice looking Caterham! The Rover engine is unusual for a USA Caterham. Back then, it was mostly X-Flows and BDA's. It makes roughly the same hp as the X-Flow. Probably weighs a bit less. Any thots on how it came to have this interesting engine variant?
Croc
1992, factory built, over 25 years old - so it was a full import at some point in the last 3 years. Looks a nice freshened up Caterham.
Jonnydutt
I did import it about 2 years ago and it did come from the factory with that engine. I have had several X-Flow cars and a HPC and you can really feel the weight difference, it changes direction so easily, plus it doesn't set your feet on fire in summer! You don't get the Weber noise but the exhaust sounds great, people are really surprised to find it has a small 4 cylinder under the hood, it rumbles on idle like the TVR

panamericano
Thats certainly a unique take. Interesting headlights and Turbo instead of SC. Custom mirror mounts and mirrors with blinkers. The turn signals seem like a good idea, but it's one more electrical to keep working.

Brightonuk
Yer saw this. 4 secs 0-60 I would have thought with a honking V8 (even if it is a Rover power plant) the 0-60 would be better Still could be a great track car
