  1. Check this link http://www.burtonpower.com/parts-by-category/transmission-clutch-wheels/bell-housings/bellhousing-rs2000-dual-lhd-rhd-bh3.html It looks like it gives you the option on which side the starter and clutch cable may be fitted.
  2. Sometime in the '80's there was the Ford GTP Mustang. It had the "front mid-engine" layout. It was fast and fun to watch, but the mechanics said it was a pain to work on. The engine was buried in the middle and access was a stretch. http://www.favcars.com/mustang-gtp-1983-photos-33706
  3. Strap in and have a blast!
  4. No room for error! :driving: :ack:
  5. It took some large ones to drive that car at +100 mph !
  6. I had the grill in action...
  7. Have you posted on BLATCHAT?
  8. If you are traveling, travel safely! :auto:
  9. At last, I have all the parts in my shop. I picked up the transmission today. Syncros were impossible to find and they were not the problem. It was a needle bearing between the input shaft and the main shaft that misbehaved. My guess was this was caused by low oil level. I have a new clutch disk, motor mounts, bolts and lock nuts for the drive shaft, and new red silicone hoses, also lower gaskets have been refreshed, it's time to reassemble.
  10. Time to make some doughnuts!
  11. If you know the part number, you may find a picture online for identification.
  12. Since my 7 is down with trannyitis, I've been cleaning up and re-arranging my work shop. :smash:
  13. Well, I won't be doing my Veteran's Day blat. The tranny is not repaired yet. But... To those who have server, Thank You. :flag:
  14. "Unencumbered by the thought process"
  15. The winners average speed was +109mph.
  16. I shot a 1x1 off my table saw. I wasn't in the path but a door was. I glued the broken parts back on the door but didn't do any sanding to hide the damage. I use it as my reminder to watch what I'm doing. :ack:
  17. How much water has the car been exposed to, and are you in an area that uses road chemicals?
  18. You betcha', that thumb is flatter and wider than the other one.:smash: After I wacked it, it was totally white, then it was a bash to the kitchen. It was wrapped in paper towels and packed in ice in less than 60 sec. I wanted it cold before the feeling came back!:banghead:
  19. Ever hit your thumb with a hammer? Well, I have... with a 4lb short handled sledge.
  20. I've been using an EVO2 without any problems this year. It doesn't preform well at low temperatures, but that's not a problem to me. http://www.ballisticparts.com/product_info.php?cPath=141&products_id=428
  21. This is what mine looked like coming out. If you can drain the tranny before removal, it helps, otherwise have a drain pan ready.
  22. This comes to mind. All thread rod, washers(optional), hex nuts drilled for safety wire and safety wire.
  23. What could go wrong? :iamwithstupid:
  24. That's not your father's FF. When I started flagging corners in the '80s they were the minimalist open wheeler with the same motor as in my car.
