  1. A while ago, I was thinking of how to reduce wind buffeting and did some research here. I discovered that a barrier at the plane of the roll bar along wouldn't offer much relief. Your screen is part of your wind buffeting system. The side pieces reduce the in-flow and the screen reduces the out-flow. Good work. My first step is to build the side wind deflectors, starting with finding hinges.
  2. Sounds like he's in deep s...
  3. Mine is the red and alloy. So far it gets polished before the show. Right now it's a little dusty. :auto:

  7. Manshoon, I sure hope everyone thinks the photo really IS a joke. Some people have no sense of humor sometimes. Your killing us!!!
  8. I was lucky enough to visit here http://www.microcarmuseum.com/ before the auction. Try the Virtual Tour. Microcars were good for the time frame they existed in. Now days, macroamericans have no chance fitting in microcars. Besides, who wants to be mashed into a grill of a Escalade?
  9. Hmmm, the sound of crickets
  10. Here's another tire change stunt....on a motorcycle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pxVuqIoHBQ

  13. The inch seems to be a standard for some stuff. I got to pondering this as I was grabbing some sockets out of the tool box. Socket drive sizes are 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and up". What does the guy in Europe or Japan find in his tool box. Then there are rim sizes, in inches also. Anyone know the history? :bigear:
  14. FWIW... My car had these on it when I bought it...(the previous set were the original and way too old, not worn out) SUMITOMO HTR A/S P01 185/60R14 M&S I think TIRE RACK has a rating on them. I am only doing dry street driving with no complaints.
  15. There was a Honda Odyssey used on the USA version of Top Gear that was kick a$$.
  16. Paul Van Valkenberg did an article in Road & Track about 30 years ago. The rear drive 2-1 set would start with mild understeer and progress to big understeer. The 1-2 was even worse. I don't recall if 2-1 FWD was discussed, but it would be better than RWD. Either 2-1 would require a STIFF anti-roll bar. I think 4 tires beats 3, as long as they are on the ground.
  17. When I need to clean up the brush in the backyard, I crank this baby up. http://www.chonday.com/Videos/excamuoich2
  18. Lots of $$$ required, after purchase.
  19. "Content Warning Sorry, this content is age-restricted." was displayed. Say what? Am I too old?
  20. Interesting demonstration, I remember studying this in machine design. Way back in time when a 4 banger was also a calculator and slide rules were still used.
  21. Because I can.
  22. Boooooooogus! :bs:
  23. I think rich is on the problem. You could pull the alternator and take it by a auto parts shop, they have testers.
  24. OK, ya got me. 'Round here the cops are too busy ignoring texters and the like. On top of all the traffic laws on the books, we have a "slow poke" law. If you are driving the speed limit in the left lane you can get a ticket. Like that will ever happen. :toetap05:
