  1. If anybody's interested (nobody's interested), the spacing on my 95 Xflow is 11" from square (master cylinder mount) crossmember to rear head face. I think my engine placement is about as far forward as possible. I can't even fit a toothed belt pulley kit. I can't get a socket and bar between the crank nut and the chassis tubes. With only two inches between the bell housing starter bulge and the footwell corner, not enough space available to attempt a push back. Unless I shortened the footwell. nah. Il'l just keep wrench nicking my chassis tubes.
  2. This is the AMC Jeep cap I know fits. Common part number 8084. Most auto parts stores should have one. But I want to get a blue one like bball's. You know, color = power. Actually, I want to know if bball's blue cap has a longer neck than the yellow 8084, which is only 15mm deep and could pop off with little effort. I think too thick a breather hose could walk it off with enough vibration. here's a link to one: https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/masterpro-select-caps/masterpro-select-caps-crankcase-breather-cap/omp0/8084/v/a/1201/automotive-car-2002-mini-cooper?q=8084&pos=1
  3. Not a 7, but still very cool. https://www.ebay.com/itm/224844906747
  4. @bball7754 have part number for that filler cap?
  5. This more like it https://www.summitracing.com/parts/jzp-600-025-05 Better: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/jzp-605-125-05 The capacity could be bigger, The top hole would go to a a Filtered vent or air intake. The top would need holes cut to accept crank case vent hose and rocker cover vent hose. The tank should be checked after every drive. Why this type of tank? It's translucent, you can SEE the oil level. No sight tube to clog up or leak. Sorry, I can't post pictures. I exceeded data limits.
  6. Your oil overflow system is too complicated, low capacity and getting plugged up. Oil separation box with PCV valve needs cleaning out. The Ford cap has a mesh vent thar should have released pressure, but oil mist makes the engine bay dirty. There are caps with breather nipples to run a hose to the catch tank. Burton has a metal one and I got a plastic one for a 70s AMC Javelin. It fits! I will try to find a catch tank better for you.
  7. I wonder what Arch would do with it?
  8. Amazing the fuel tank didn't ka-boom!
  9. This isn't a fabrication? I don't see a forum for 7 Art and Swag, which I think there is enough discussion to have one. All the T-shirt discussions can go there.
  10. I suppose this goes here. Let's support this talented fellow. https://petrolvibes.com/products/lotus-seven-silhouette-metal-wall-art?_pos=18&_sid=445c21746&_ss=r He has an Elan also.
  11. I had same experience. Excellent packing. Above and beyond expectations.
  12. Hmm.. I was trying to share a link to another Caterham factory video, but I have run out of attachment allowance.
  13. No, she just said they're keeping the car. But you might try asking in a few more months.
  14. I provided the FB link where she expressed her interest. Donna Mae Carpenter https://www.facebook.com/groups/887632191373331/user/735960386
  15. If you, or your car can wear it, its swag.
  16. Really well done
  17. @anduril3019 made a pun. The subject was axle wrap. He said "wrap my head around it." It's still funny.
  18. And the CHILI, his of which, shall never cross my lips for his copyright stunt. Broke up a good thing in Terlingua to make a dollar, he did.

  20. I have approval from Motorsport composites in Wisconsin to mention on the forum that they do have moulds for 7 wings and nose and are willing to manufacture parts. Here is the copy of the e-mail with the prices omitted. Wava Utt: We have three different versions of a Lotus nose -- The 7 Series LS-II, DSK7 and the Caterham CS3. We have two versions of the front fenders -- The LS-II and 7/CS3. They are quite similar to each other, with only subtle differences. For rear fenders, we have either 9.5" wide or 11" wide. The 9.5" are universal. We have two different 11", which are very similar to each other. One is designated as CS3, the other as 7/DSK. I am told that the CS3 parts were for a special version developed by Carroll Shelby. If you would like to see the slight differences between the different fenders, let me know and I will dig out some pics. Noses are $XXX in fiberglass, $XXX in kevlar. Front or rear fenders are $XXX each in fiberglass, $XXX in kevlar. Carbon parts are also available upon request. Thanks, Wava Utt Motorsport Composites 2133 County Road W Grafton, WI 53024 262-375-1930 info@motorsportcomposites.com
