  1. If it doesn’t work out we’ll just crash your or D’s garage for a bbq and social get together. Many, many thanks again! It was another memorable weekend well worth the hassle, travel, and humidity to join a great group of folks... as always the track was exceptional, as was dinner at Antonio’s Ps. What happened to the Storkers? Just about every other marque was represented. P.
  2. For those who have not yet hit the road - Don’t Forget your pre-inspection form. Sitting here with my coffee I just remembered mine!
  3. Or we can sort it out in the paddock before burgers and beers Friday evening? Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow [edit: Later today] p.
  4. are they SFI rated? track checks for FIA or SFI approval.
  5. Kitcat - hopefully you’re just paying your karmic dues now instead of on the track.
  6. To echo what Croc & Tom have said in the past: Weather at the track is 'weird'. Every visit I've made there have been monsoon's 5 miles away and pristine weather at the track. So the forecast isn't reliable. It's not worth worrying about.
  7. Regardless of exact provenance (Rule #1, any seven is better than a saloon car). It had NJ plates which is impressive considering my understanding of the climate for our cars in the state. If the buyer is local, hopefully they'll come to our annual gathering.
  8. Thanks for the refresher Kitcat. these things are too often misapplied. this tread reminds me of a very eloquent exchange between a student protester at a Bush Sr. speech. As security was moving to silence the student the president stopped them and proceeded to calmly debate & reason with the student exposing the fallacies in his protest. It has sadly been a long time since we've seen this from any politician.
  9. Registered.. trailer reserved. Room booked I hope room at the garage mahal for the Birkin?
  10. Good idea. Pm me Friday. Which direction do you want to head?
  11. Very timely Kitcat. About now I expect BlackHole is being extricated from the 'inverted lotus' position by the fire company after installing his new ignition switch this afternoon. Being more sensible myself: instead of the local autoX I headed up to Vermont this morning. Three hrs up I-91, an hour spectating, another 3hrs back. Not just to support OPEC. I think I finally found the cause for my loss of power on track late last night and needed a test :driving:
  12. Very nice, - Is the feather duster included?
  13. Congrats! Which part of ct are you in. There are at least 6 of us now.
  14. I feel your pain: last year my car was squeaking. I was told "just polish and anti-seize the bushings..." no prob I though: I assembled my car shouldn't be too bad... One winter later :banghead: completely disassembling my car... it doesn't squeak any more :driving: If the rivnuts are spinning, can you tighten them? I've done this with a long bolt, washer and nut: thread the nut onto the bolt, then secure the bolt threads into the rivnut: hold the bolt stationary and tighten the nut to further compress the rivnut.
  15. Did you have water sitting on top of the head over the winter? I’ve had water on top of my engine after getting caught out in the rain
  16. You could try calling Granite State Dyno - Alex is knowledgeable & I’ve used him for my car. I’m not sure how well versed he is for your project.
  17. I came across a case report in a trauma journal of some sort a few years ago reporting on a European rally co-driver who came to an abrupt stop from high velocity. He was wearing a 6-pt harness and experienced a double prolapse. Surgeons reduced the prolapse, putting things back from whence they came and sutured up the driver. He was right as rain and back in racing form in no time at all. Hopefully this is all academic and no one here ever needs to truly test their safety gear.
  18. While not Mass. I've used Alex at Granite State Dyno & Tune in the past. He has grown his shop significantly since my first visit to him and now offers a full range of services. Depending on your location he could be a reasonable distance for you to look into.
  19. Is there a window in which the advance mechanic's inspection must occur before the event? ie: within X-weeks of the trackday, or anytime this spring?
  20. Another Caterham?? We're dying to know what you've gotten yourself into now.
  21. Just made my belated reservation, and am spending the afternoon putting my car back together. Can’t wait to gat behind the wheel again and see everyone in June
  22. If it helps i have a performance (not race) clutch from Clutch Masters in my car.... (stock duratec, T9, aluminum flywheel) but my driving doesn't match yours.
  23. Beautiful pics!
  24. Maybe he’s building a Storker, Any insight Suave?
  25. yellow, orange, silver... all slow pokes compared to that green/white storker :auto:
