  1. Craig I'm about a half-hour away from there. Will stop by if possible. Do you know where you'll be set up? P.
  2. Shane I think I've more than shown you don't need wheels to attend. It's perfectly acceptable to point your better half and children towards the beach while you and Larry come to the track...
  3. WOW! thank you for the great photos and my new desktop background. I better be careful, knowing these things get lonely and need company the maroon Cat looks mighty tempting......
  4. That's what they do: leave the kids in a hiding spot for the day. Come back in the evening to take care of them. Not abandoned, just smart deer parenting
  5. I'll second that motion And, while you're at it string up that Webb footed companion of yours...
  6. Regardless of your head gear, ear protection is a must. (There are several old discussions on the topic)
  7. Mike, as Tom(yellowss7) pointed out: they need company. These two could be siblings separated at conception. I think the csr will be lonely without this XS next to it in your garage
  8. My apologies in advance for not taking as many pictures as last year. I was distracted at the sight of another Birkin (then bowled over at the sight of TWO IN THE SAME PLACE!). While much missed, I think the real reason Suavé skipped out this year was a fear of becoming lunch. The remainder of my snap shots can be viewed here https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzspYorHK5gFfkFoOThzSXgzRURMNlozRjBjNVFvekFHbkphZlFqbXpjVXR5OE51MTgtaUk Cheers and hope to see everyone next year P. Tom with the new XS Birkin Tom testing both sides
  9. not on the fence, haven't been for some time. Have camera and will be ready to catch aquatic croc's Will see you all in the morning. p.
  10. Call tom carlin (birkin America in eagle) I think he has spares
  11. Nurse Hilda specially ordered this tease for you
  12. Update: For unknown reasons software adjustments with the haltech don't work here. changing from the 6-tab camshaft back to the 1 tab camshaft has solved the problem. duratec's built after 2008 have the 6-tab...
  13. She'll go on one date in the car... and never ride in it again. But if you get her a horse all sins will be forgiven.
  14. Croc left out the most lmportant bit of advice.... Come down to nj for the annual sevens July track day and social event. It is the only opportunity to see an unbeatable array of cars in one place to compare styles, sizes, etc I would put a shorter build time on the project. But once done it'll need somewhere to live. 5)If your wife is half as saintly as mine she'll understand. Otherwise a seven is less expensive and more convenient than a divorce, safer than a mistress... :hurray: I'm in CT if you'd like to look a a Birkin and talk build process PM me P.
  15. Congratulations!! Which part of MA are you in?
  16. Update (for the next person with this issue): Switching from reluctor to hall effect sensor had no effect on the issue. more digging and consultation with boffins revealed ford changed from a one tab to 6 tab camshaft in 2008. Subsequently the working theory is that putting the 1 tab camshaft back into the engine will hopefully resolve this situation. -Fingers crossed for this week.
  17. thanks. I've already spoken with them earlier in the week. My tuner things the change between reluctor/hall effect sensors is the likely culprit. Apparently ford changed from a reluctor to hall effect in the 2007 vs 2008 duratec engines. Right now my quandary is identifying which terminals in the sensor/pigtail wires are ground/signal/+ switched so i can connect it to my ECU loom...
  18. Any ideas what it might end up looking like? I keep thinking a lotus SUV would be the size of an average sedan and include cup holders.
  19. I Hope someone can offer some sage advice.. Setup: birkin with a stock 2.0L duragec engine (2007) with a haltech sport 1000. I replaced this engine with another stock duratec engine (2008 focus). As far as i know/can tell the only difference is the replacement engine loom had a hall effect cam position sensor whereas my first engine had a reluctor camshaft sensor (both the same size). Everything else is the same. Since the wiring loom for my haltech ecu is setup for the reluctor type sensor (and i've been lead to believe they should be functionally interchangeable) i have been trying to use the reluctor-type sensor for this application. The Rub: when i start the engine it runs roughly and the "home/miss counter" when connected to a computer for diagnostics is a constantly rising number as the home signal is not being read correctly. - should i change out my pigtail to use the hall-effect sensor to solve this problem? I have already tried increasing the sensor filter level to no avail and was hoping to avoid changing the wiring connector to use the hall effect sensor Does anyone have other ideas? pull my hair out? re-wire the whole car? get a flinstone mobile with suavee? cheers P.
  20. I mounted mine to the right inside of the windshield (birkin/heated) over my sticker: minimal vision obstruction and no problems going through tolls. Have had problems in the past holding it by hand, when upside down it doesn't read. have you done any trial passes through the toll just holding it in prospective placements to see if it reads?
  21. well, either one-or all three of us-are stupid... He's still having trouble getting the new radiators from the factory.... (story of my current life)
  22. I'm feeling rather left out so here goes: Assuming the radiator & nose cone I've been waiting on all year come in time :toetap05: I was planning to attend. However I'm becoming progressively more skeptical every day that i'll have my car back on the road and sorted in time to try my hand at a track day. Worst case i'm a definite maybe spectator
  23. I see clams in on the floor. Was someone looking for a pair recently?
  24. As one of the younger, and hopefully not dumber, readers: I expect we all perform an individualized risk/reward calculus and proceed accordingly. To be safe you could live in a sealed room drinking vegetable smoothies and easily outlive the rest of us. However, if it's quality and not just quantity that counts each of us must choose where in the safe - danger spectrum to live.
  25. Speaking of cameras and angles director Dundee.. I'm still eagerly awaiting last year's movie :toetap05: I sincerely hope it will be released before Shane
