  1. Have you spoken with Texas Motor Works? Dick may know something of the process.
  2. (what scannon said) In Ct you have to trailer your car to the central inspection station near hartford. In Nh (transfer) you get a several day temporary permit when you register the car until you're inspected. I'm not sure about Ky but think it was: "hopefully no one notices me"
  3. On the bright side you'll get to have to un-crating parties! I don't think anyone will dispute that owning (and building) a se7en is an adventure, and rarely straightforward. cheers
  4. :iagree: anything more than 20 mph
  5. I think you added (or is it removed) a little too much "Lightness". That's absolutely brilliant!
  6. Oh man! Politics, religion & Controversy aren't safe topics any more.
  7. So - Will this make the Storker go even faster and further reduce the power to weight ratio?
  8. Paul. Seeing that you are in Idaho you may be out of luck because the first place to go is your local boat yard / fiberglass repairer. You can also find a lot of information online, and order all the necessities, from West Marine. I don't know if you can get replacement clams from Caterham? There is always the second hand route from another member here . If none of these thoughts are helpful you could get in touch with Kinetic Vehicles. Jack makes a lot of fiberglass parts including clams. However I don't know if these would be an exact match for your parts. cheers p.

Beautiful boat. Do you have any idea how long it "should" take to build? It took me a casual 5mo to put my Birkin together, but have heard of others taking years to build their se7ens.
  10. Shane, Have you found any of these folks to be better than others for our cars (or are we still subject to state-specific regulation)?
  11. He's got a good lawyer
  12. My 2 cents is to go with an agreed upon value arrangement. You never expect to have an issue (deer hunting or otherwise) but it will make your life easier on the other end.
  13. It's already been said, but a huge thanks to the group for and amazing weekend, welcoming me, and contributing to my se7ens addiction with a ride on the track. Next year I hope to be back with my Birkin. (Does anyone have details on the "right" way to modify a raceline duratec wet sump to prevent oil starvation?) As promised- The Good: I've uploaded my pictures from the weekend for people to peruse or download any decent pics of yourself. The Bad: not having time, and to avoid missing anyone I uploaded MOST of what I took. & The Ugly: some of the shots are a little fuzzy if you zoom in too far. 14. Busted! I suspected you might try and beat/match Kitcat's record of having three cars. or not???? All joking aside, a HUGE thanks to you and Tom for organizing this event. Next year I'll bring my Birkin, and give Roman and Mike a run for the record. p.
  15. My Birkin was ~1275 when weighed at the local quary (without spare tire, gas, extra junk i usually drive with, OR DRIVER) - actual results my vary with driver & setup.
  16. even if you move or sell the car out of state?
  17. Beware of crocodiles in the lake

    Radio Flyer

It's not a seven but looks fun.
  19. I know a locost builder with BCNU unfortunately the reference is lost on most people
  20. Very nice, The low angle of the windshield catches my eye: compared to the birkin which is almost vertical. Are those RPF01 wheels?
  21. Skip All bleeding stops, eventually so you needn't worry about the tourniquet
  22. Don't give up hope.. one of these might work nicely in Mass.
  23. Very nice! Must be using clams to handicap the Storker?
  24. Does anyone know if Caterham Clams are easily adaptable to a Birkin? Or would it just cause my car to have an identity crisis? p.
  25. Blokko fyi: While New Hampshire does not have a sales or income tax (unlike most states), you still have to pay road tax & registration fees. So while it is less costly to purchase a car in NH, you still get hit with taxes. Registration is done through each town clerk's office. Some have web page estimators of your registration fees and road tax you can look up. cheers p.
