JeffersonRaley Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Those of you who know XCarGuy/Shane may want to send him a note to wish him well. He had an accident in his Seven this morning and sustained a pretty serious injury. He'll be ok, but it will take some time for him to recover. It isn't for me to give any of the details, but I can say that I was in the car when it happened. Shane did not cause the accident, and he reacted exactly right. We both could have been hurt pretty badly if he had reacted differently. He's a very impressive driver, and I hope to ride with him again once he recovers.
Croc Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Jefferson, This is really unfortunate news to hear about - I will send him a text when it is a more reasonable hour. Were you hurt/injured in any way? Thanks for the heads up. mike
mrmustang Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Our prayers go out for a speedy (pun intended) recovery. Bill S.
BusaNostra Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 I will pray for your fast recovery Shane ----- HANG ON DUDE, you will be ok.
SteveS Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Jefferson, I'm awfully sorry to hear the news about you and Shane. I hope you both recover quickly and without too much pain. Steve
dbeng Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Wow, Sorry to hear the news. Get Well Soon and best wishes. Dan.
Anaximander Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Positive energy going out to Shane for a speedy recovery. He is one of the best!
sevenseeker Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Wishing a Speedy recovery mate. These cars aren't likely not going to win a fight with the regular cars out there so everyone be safe and careful.

I think Shane feels pretty bad about it (on top of the obvious physical pain). In reality he did everything right and saved us from much worse injury.
scannon Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Best wishes for a speedy recovery Shane. Looking forward to hearing more about the incident. Skip
coffee break Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 I'm late to the game here, but I hope you are good to go soon! :auto:
MB7 Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 I hope Shane is ok, not surprised his reaction saved lives, always admired the way he controls his Stalker around a track.
toedrag Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Curiosity is eating away at me...wondering if this happened @TWS with TDE and whether or not red mist from another driver played a role.
RGTorque Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 wow, bad news bears! shane, i how your ok and get back on your feet soon!
xcarguy Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 This is Shane's wife. Thank you all for your kind words, well wishes & especially your prayers. Shane is in a lot of pain right now & has been since the accident, but smiles when I read your comments to him. I'm sure when he's feeling better he'll want to fill you all in with all the details. Per his request, I must ask, "Croc, does this qualify him for the lifetime John Deer award??"
yellowss7 Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Glad to hear that he is recovering. I think pulling off at least 4 of his spark plug wires will slow him down just enough in the future. And make him take those silly wings off the car. What does he think he is, a pilot or something! :jester: Hope the recovery is a quick one. Take care. Tom

I think you need to tell Shane that the John Deere Award is a prestigious annual award that is not awarded on a lifetime basis as I prefer recipients to stay safe and well. However, I can personally offer you the "Lovely Patient Wife Putting Up with Shane" Lifetime Achievement Award! :blueangel: I think you will need all the assistance you can get in this next phase of Shane's recovery. When Larry stops by to see what his son has done this time, please give him my regards! :seeya: Warmest Regards mike
