Hi Robin,

Thanks for the update. I think you need to tell Shane that the John Deere Award is a prestigious annual award that is not awarded on a lifetime basis as I prefer recipients to stay safe and well. However, I can personally offer you the "Lovely Patient Wife Putting Up with Shane" Lifetime Achievement Award! :blueangel: I think you will need all the assistance you can get in this next phase of Shane's recovery.

When Larry stops by to see what his son has done this time, please give him my regards! :seeya:

Warmest Regards

mike

Thanks Croc...I'll take it!! :banghead:

Shane

I tried putting up a quick reply last night (didn't see it in the thread) about yesterday's conversations with you and Robin. Although I don't see it in this thread, looks like everyone knows the core message.......that you have a positive outlook on a speedy and thorough recovery. My request was for other seven buddies to keep the humor, well wishes and prayers headed your way. By now you have seen plenty of responses here on USA7s and the Stalker forum. Glad to see that you are back at the keyboard.

No surprise that your fan club is large, encouraging and ready to help you any way we can. C U soon buddy.

Just saw this, wow, such bad news! When people admit to being in "a lot of pain", it is never good. And like everyone, I am sure Shane had tons of other uses for the days now being spent laid up, processing all that happened and the current implications as well as potential future implications.

Nonetheless, the glass still looks pretty close to full, given how much worse it might have been.

Hang in their Shane, cut yourself some slack, and focus on getting better, we are all rooting for you!

OK Shane, It has been 4 days since the accident. Pilots are tougher than race tracks. Hope you are feeling just a touch better or at least floating above the bed with some nice pain meds if that is not the case. Please be nice to your Sainted Wife, they put up with a lot of our shenanigans. AstroBob

Shane, Wow! Bev and I are very sorry to hear this news. We are happy to hear it turned out better than it could have been. We praise the LORD for that. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. We will miss you at NJMP this year. It won't be the same without you there. Hang in there and get well quick.

Hey, guys,

xcarguy here. First, let me give a HUGE SHOUTOUT to all of you for your kind words, prayers and thoughts. As you all know, Robin (super woman) has been acting as my spokes person for the last few days while I've been laid up. When I'm up to it, I'll bring everyone into the loop on what transpired (no red paint involved). As for me (in short) I've broken vertebra T10, T11 and T12 is in a somewhat complicated way and have experienced pain beyond description. Thanks to an air ambulance, I'm now in Little Rock, AR at Baptist Health hospital (relatively closer to home) and will most likely be here for a few more days. Again, thanks to everyone for their support . . . . . Updates to come.

Shane - it is great to hear that you are out there and gradually putting all your pieces back together. I hope the pain lessens shortly, you get out of the hospital and get to go home and that we hear that Robin is getting all her chores around the house done by you without whimpering!

The beers will taste good again soon!
