fotsyr Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 I have just built and delivered a new SV 420r to a customer. It shares its garage with an 18 Gt3. Perfect pairing?
Vovchandr Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Disagree. Still too much cross talk in experiences. If it was parked next to a Benz S class? That's the perfect pairing. You would never have to decide which car you're driving. An hour in one would make you want to be in the other, going both ways. 2
JohnCh Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Interesting topic, but what are the parameters? Are they the only two cars in the garage and one needs to seat at least 4 adults, or can we throw practicality out the window and look at what are a perfect pairing if there is a third, practical vehicle in the garage? Given the level of practicality needed by people can differ wildly (e.g. from no kids or pets to a family of 6 with a pair of large dogs), I vote for the latter.
pethier Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 In my shop/garage complex there are; 1700 Super Sprint Porsche Cayman Ford F-150 SuperCrew. Two are strict 2-seaters. One can seat 6. 5 of them will have enormous legroom.
CBuff Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 (edited) This is a bit of a cheat since I don’t own the garage or the Jeep (it’s where my 420 is temporarily living). But in the spirit of the discussion. I like this combo. One if you need small and nimble. One if you have to drive over stuff. Neither immensely practical Edited July 30, 2024 by CBuff

MoBoost Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 It may not be the perfect pair, but it’s a good one! It’s always great to jump into the Seven after a more civilized ride. My pair, which offer different but still great experiences. 3
Croc Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 One should always have some se7ens on tap in a garage. 3 1 2
CarlB Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Currently only two toys. You know my Caterham, but my other fun car is a 2006 JCW MINI. Point and Squirt! 1 1

I just ordered a 2025 Mini in BRG with gold wheels to match my 7. Will see how it goes. I agree with Vlad. You need something wildly opposite a 7. Money no object? Something really bizarre. Monteverdi SUV or something similarly funky and anti 7. Realistic budget, maybe a boring but reliable mazda 3 sedan. It heightens the edge of the 7.

Cirving Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Here’s my batch, Cappuccino, Seven, Elise, Zenos and TVR Chimaera. I’ve had more luxurious cars, Jags, BMW’s etc, found out they aren’t for me. For everyday use we have a Honda Ridgeline and Element 3

I thought I had a problem with owning impractical cars, but you have me beat. Next time someone asks me why I have five sportscars, rather than respond "because six would be excessive" I'll show them your post and explain I'm comparatively practical Very nice garage! 1 2
