That is a lot of kit to go with the car.  Were the shoes new or sanitized?  Hope he doesn't want to do a Shoey with them.

Shoes not going.  I took them off in the loft and dropped them downstairs to put away in my driving kit storage.  I was too lazy to walk down and walk back up.  :classic_laugh:

Mike you mention CSR - three iterations...are the differences reviewed / summarized anywhere?  That would be very informative for the new CSR 200 / 260 talk group.

Cheers!

Steve

"the new CSR 200 / 260 talk group"?

Are you talking about the thread I started or something else?

Did you leave the knuckle magnet with the car or can I put it on my (questionably) running car?

No magnet involved.  It was your man musk that had Miss Moose Knuckle approach our cars in the pits at NJMP.  After she was disappointed with me, realizing the error of her ways, she moved on to you.  Your car never ran properly ever again.  I suspect both of us were mentally scarred being confronted eye level by that thing, I mean the sidewalls on my tires are smaller.

My imagination is going wild trying to decipher these "knuckle" messages.

No.  I guess you are color blind between maroon red and silver?  Have another look at the car in your photo.  Its not this car.

The end of an era. Hopefully CatKong will pass its final shakedown runs this summer and make it home to NJMP this year.

Hello All!

@Croc's lives on! This is my first post on the forum...long time coming but honored to be a part.

The CSR has made its way to Florida but will visit racetracks all over the country - maybe even NJMP again someday even though it is quite a trek up there.

Lots to do to the car in the coming months and years but still pinching myself that this car is in my garage. So thankful for Croc's generosity and hospitality throughout the purchasing process.

Cannot wait to see what the future holds for this car and hope to find myself next to CatKong on track someday in the future!

Thank you @Crocfor posting the converted image.

The S3 has front and rear dual element wings that were custom made for the car with nine lives racing. We did a full 3d scan of the car to make sure everything would mount up properly and actually function as intended. It was a bit of an experiment given how little power these cars have and the need for it to overcome the added drag. End result dropped lap times over 2 seconds at multiple tracks after some tuning was done on wing angles and removing the second element on higher speed tracks.

Regarding the CSR's future, it will likely also get wings and though I wish I could use my existing set, they do not fit the width of the car or the current downward angle on the cage. Hopefully they will find their way onto another S3 soon. That said, I intend on doing a very similar setup on the CSR in the next year or two. Im hopeful the additional power will allow for even better results.
