Caterham claims that as 210hp (fly wheel) but subtract 10-15hp added for marketing purposes. Chris of Sevens & Elans (the seller acting on consignment) produced a dyno plot showing 191hp (fly wheel). He made the comment he assembled it early on but you had to be quick to catch it. I don’t know the car - have not seen it come up for sale before. I assume it was a New England car as Chris was located north of Worcester MA until a few years ago. I have not seen anything in the auction that is a negative other than the usual complaints about CA and waistlines being too big. I assume you have checked that you will not have a title or registration or emissions issues (car has no cat)? DatsunRBZ Posted July 21, 2020 Share Posted July 21, 2020 Thanks for the info. I would be registering and titling the car in FL so for me that's a plus that it is already registered there. No emissions issues for me but I assume a cat could be fitted for the next owner should I decided to sell. Being/staying an east coast car I would rather not pay a premium for a CA complaint car knowing that it may slightly limit the audience/price if I decide to sell down the road. As far as fit, I am 5'10" and 160 lbs so I figure I should be able to slide right in the driver's seat. This would be my 3rd weekend/track car so maybe all responsible decisions are out the window. I'm almost exactly your size and the S3 fits me like a glove. The only time I would want an SV is if I was doing some long distance touring, but for the rest of the time I prefer the S3. If I didn't already have a Cat in my garage I would be bidding on this car. The spec looks really good and the seller is very experienced with Caterhams. Good luck DatsunBRZ!
