  1. Congratulations !! looks great. I did upgrade to a newton “aero” style gas cap. I like the look and found the stock one leaked a little with. A full tank. Tom also had a great fix for the filler neck (if not already done) cut back the lip of aluminum left where the angled filler neck joins the flat tank top. This prevents gas splashing which prematurely shuts off the gas pump.
  2. I’d try calling (or email) Tillett. I believe they make the seats for caterham.

My wife is very accepting, but I think parking that in the driveway just for occasional Seven transportation would rapidly result in bachelorhood
  4. Ah: “self tech”… Their tech form would be a good starting point. I can’t seem to find it easily. October 28. Sounds like mighty cold pavement to me. But it may be a good opportunity to just drop by and discuss equipment with their scruitineers for spring 2023 driving.
  5. I’m not familiar with “the driving school” can you elaborate? there are several trackday options for Thompson such as SCCA Tracknight and SCDA & others (MassTuning, …)
  6. Sadly the only proven varmint device I’m aware of is a good mouser cat. SWMBO adheres to fabric softener dryer sheets keeping mice out of tack trunks.
  7. Several new posts this week… I expect the admin will approve your message soon. - PM me if he doesn’t respond to you
  8. Maybe tomorrow- Saturday will be a bit too dreary for the seven. p.
  9. Kudos to Mike & Tom for organizing another magical weekend. This year, just as day 2 was off to an exceptional start my car had other ideas. Fortunately one week later I’ve repaired both electrical gremlins & patched my fender stay. I can hardly wait to see what the track photographer Mike W. shot this year. I think he’s going to have some real gems! cheers p.
  10. Thanks everyone - so many helpful tips. I found the smallest 4 post lift available thanks to the above responses. Thus far it fits my limited space and gets the job done nicely.
  11. I’ve always trailered. Despite, or because of, my car’s frequent mileage this year I saved myself a Second trip: failed alternator voltage regulator and failed engine loom wire, (and broken fender stay: but that’s cosmetic). I repaired both today & affirmed my decision not to drive. While I have parts on hand at home The repair would not have been easy at the track.
  12. I use a sponge to bail it out when I get caught driving in the rain. Serves double duty cleaning
  13. Definitely need to watch out for stray lipstick marks 🤡 . yours looks to be the old style nose cone. If Tom doesn’t have one on the shelf I expect you’ll do well with a fiberglass repair. If insurance is involved Maybe it could cover shipping and factory repair/refurbishment in Eagle CO?
  14. Croc i should be registered - do I not show up on your registration? p.
  15. Installation guide? Sounds like original Lotus Disassembly instructions.
  16. Blaster. Soak overnight. Warm with a heat gun for a good while. & if that doesn’t work someone else will hopefully come along with another idea.
  17. How does this apply to self-lubricating bushings made from Vesconite? My expectation is they won’t be affected by position, but I’m not an engineer.
  18. Thanks John I’m really enjoying the input & educational tangent everyone has contributed thus far! I’ve scheduled a visit with a lift to check measurements &etc.and the primary concern right now is the short ceiling in my garage.
  19. What are people's experiences, thoughts & recommendations regarding lifts? What should I avoid, good models for our cars, other factors you didn't consider until it was too late? I have a relatively small garage but may have enough head room to accommodate a four post lift. The intention is for ease seven maintenance, but primarily for storage/car stacking as this would be easier, faster, more economical & etc than expanding the garage size.
  20. careful what you wish for: you could have 200 posts discussing coffee makers 😧
  21. Looks sharp! What are your thoughts of the track? I only just learned about them last week while at LRP. p.
  22. Congratulations! You’ve got tags & can drive. Did you check for info on LocostUSA.com ? from my perusing their site the wiper(regardless of windshield) requirement is par for the course.
  23. Dr. Thank you for sharing your wonderful pictures
  24. I have a similar thought. When I changed my Birkin to LED rear indicators all would light up at the same time. Can you check whether one of your diode’s is faulty?
