CarlB Posted Tuesday at 11:32 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:32 PM I was stupid. I was at the track to do some testing. It started raining and I had very worn tires and wanted to make sure the car was running well. I lost it and got in a tire wall. It will get fixed. I have someone who is good at it and has the equipment to do it. Now if I can get Redline to get my parts order together I can get started. I built that stand to help me move it around and get it cleaned all over.
11Budlite Posted Tuesday at 11:53 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:53 PM That sucks, sorry to hear that. Glad you have a plan in place to get it fixed. I've spun off the track in the rain before, but thankfully there was plenty of runoff.
Xhilr8n Posted yesterday at 12:29 AM Author Posted yesterday at 12:29 AM (edited) Put the Elise into a tire wall at Carolina Motorsport Park many years back, cold February track and only my second season tracking her. Remarkable how well those tire walls “catch” you. Tires fly up and you just stop. It all worked out very well, was down for a roll cage install by Kirt Wightman in two weeks so we just took her trailer down to the Road Atlanta area that day.
