I’m thinking your going to find the problem is deeper into the engine than your camshafts. I’d pull the head off and get a better idea of why just one lobe is banged up.Something with that cylinder chamber is bent, stuck, what ever you would like to call it. I would also clean out the oil pan and maybe even replace the oil pump. Aren’t these cars fun. Best of luck Sir..

Two weeks ago, Croc, Roman, Tim, Garret and self were out with 37 others for a bridge tour.

Then the silver car would belong to all around nice guy Tom Carlin.

I can only say , " Thank You " to all that attended. It's really is a fun filled weekend with like minded people. Well that stinks... This Fz2002 is a sprint kit that I thought would have a much shorter service life than stock. Burton sells some cool parts for our Zetec, but it's mostly geared for track duty, not long term street use. Your a sharp guy, you'll be on the road soon.... Best Wishes....

Hi Shane, I think you gave us a reality check, as we know there's nothing as fun as a track day with friends. But this reinforces that bad things can and do happen. Just yesterday , out doing prep work for the July 4th track weekend, I found myself overlooking a few things that I thought were no big deal. After reading your posts, you have put the boot to my rear , and will really give the old S1 a proper once over. Glad your feeling better and we'll miss you on the Holiday weekend for sure.... Sorry for being late to the game. The group of wires that run out from the bottom of the dashboard, next to the transmission.A flat on the transmission bolt was hitting two wires, one being the fuel pump wire and I had to remove the seats and tunnel to get to it. Really fun time !!! Dave , I'm going to remove the oilpan skid pan and see how the temps do at NJMP. I'll reinstall it after the event.... Good Luck to all, even you Croc !!!! LOL
