  1. Tom Add me to your list, I will be there with car - Can't wait to see everyone again, and see how many times Seb can pass me p.
  2. My tail lights are beginning to show their age. I've been thinking of switching to something like these. Does anyone know who makes them or where to get them. (I think this picture is from Australia) thanks p.
  3. OUCH!!!, Are you just worried Seb will make the rest of us look worse than we already are
  4. I don't know which year frame Mario had, but anyone questioning a Storker's reliability should look up Mario's misadventure with a drunken SUV!
  5. - beautiful car. I think this is an excuse for a drive back to the border this spring (VT rt. 100 was a beautiful drive in my Se7en). Does he really want to drive in this arctic weather with all the salt on the roads?
  6. For authenticity you now need to take it apart, pull the engine and reinstall a few times. Then add some upgrades.
  7. For the Birkin side of things radiators were a hang up two years ago but i think BirkinDirect USA have or are working on a fix. Croc from the sound of things you just need another Seven in case something breaks. I'm told they need company?
  8. BlackHole Will we see you again at NJMP in July? PS: I've always had to elevate my car (park on a steep slope so expansion tank is highest point) to bleed air from the coolant system. It takes a little patience but seems to work well... If I can be patient.
  9. :iagree: but as mike pointed out no purchase necessary to attend. Be forewarned there is a high risk for purchasing a se7en after one lap with Mike or Tom.
  10. Call Tom C I'm sure he can fed-ex you a full kit
  11. Congrats BlackHole! Even if you don't make it back to the dmv don't worry. The weather probably won't be conducive to driving for much longer.
  12. Thanks for getting me away from leaf pickup duty today! We took a good route to get acquainted with his new car and had a great drive through southern Massachusetts. I pleasantly discovered that a nice drive in the country is even better when you've got another seven to look at in the rear view mirror. However next to BlackHole's beautiful SV my dirty car looks even worse than I thought. Time to start polishing...
  13. That's likely the older style nosecone Oh... And don't throw out your old one for 6 months. Something will always come up and you'll want to refer to your old part
  14. Wish we could Seb. I fear today's snow brought salt to the roads. Hopefully there is enough rain tonight to wash it away. There is an AutoX at Thompson Saturday Jay and I have been eyeing. P.
  15. Fair enough Mike... I was referring to the beautifully restored car with the right provenance for a certain state. Chris: ignore the silliness in Bessie's thread. I get the impression CA is better than it used to be, and unbelievably better than some other states. However it may be worth considering a used car already registered in your state to avoid regulatory frustrations (the recent discussion re: east coast inspection). cheers p.
  16. velcro?
  17. Chris Grab a bottle of wine and spend the evening reading through forum archives. This will give you a better, more eloquent education than i can type here. Essentially there are originals like "Bessie" and everything else is a modern variant of that original inspiration. All makes of seven are great: regardless of whether you have a scratch built locost that sheds fenders, or a storker that sheds the earth we all love our cars. They aren't for everyone though. So look around, ask lots of questions, sit in a few as proper fit is key. If you're still interested come to the annual gathering of sevens in July. p.
  18. Do you really need it? I keep my wiper blades in the boot for long drives just in case. It's not like we're driving through mud puddles.
  19. :iamwithstupid: So did I.
  20. Craig Call Tom (tbox) he has had excellent results usingpallets as a base. Bolting in the frame. Then building a crate up & around. Bolt in any extras: nothing shifts or goes flying in transit. This will cost more than you were originally hoping but ensures you reach the destination unscathed. Or pop it in your pickup and take a vacation to sunny sunny California
  21. Congratulations (or condolences) Jay. I can help you with the gas filler (had similar issues with my birkin) and burning some gas if you're back in town before the salt flies. ps. love the color cheers P.
  22. If bruce (11budlite) is still on the forum and still has the spare bumpers i can get them to NJ for you. p.
  23. Think I have a spare in my parts crate Let me know if I should look for it (I you want it)
  24. lance check the thread from May regarding timing cover/crank bolt removal (Yellowss7). I think all the necessary details are there: pull engine for access - sorry. p.
  25. Post some pictures The rest of us need something after All this discussion of your epic trip Enjoy, stay hydrated, reapply sunblock, and get out to stretch your legs every 2 hours P.
