  1. Depending on the flywheel and throughout bearing setup, you might look into RAM clutches. I was able to use one of their smaller (7.75') steel clutches predrilled for larger flywheel bolts and their 6 puck disc. All up weight is 9 lbs. The clutch assembly is thinner so resetup of throughout bearing is required. Their setup is for the Pinto 2300. My raceline flywheel was already drilled for larger bolts. Putting over 200 HP through it with no problems. Wayne in San Diego
  2. Thanks for posting, Skip
  3. Just a note regarding AR tires. These tires are designed for USAC midgets that have specific rims sizes in each corner. Some have the tried the tires only to find that they were using a specific front tire on a rear drive application. If it doubt, call Boudin tire in Iowa. You can talk to Troy Boudin regarding AR tires. I will be trying out the new SC2100 8x20-13 on my Cat Super 7 D mod this weekend. This tire has increased sidewall stiffness. Wayne
  4. Depending on your intended application, a couple of us run our zetec using SDS. Great service and tech support. SDSEFI.com Magnets placed on either end of the crankshaft supply the timing. Options include fuel pump relay, fan relay, fast idle relay and rpm relay. They now have AFR data logging.
  5. Suggest time pressure monitor for your single axle trailer. I'm using tire minder which connects to the valve stem and has replaceable batteries. This will give you an early indication of any tire problems. I have sensors on the tow vehicle as well.
  6. SDS supplies a separate box that allows running the normal type injector. Look at sdsefi.com. Ross can probably help you.
  7. Similar color of the kyosho 7 model

  10. Many west coast guys are using Bogart with great success. I would try to buy closest to you, if the prices are close to the same. Always good to trial fit, if possible, before committing to the set.
  11. One way to have a 5the or 6th attachment point on the Caterham, is to install a threadsert into the crossbar in front of the seat. Another is to drill into the floor pan. Wayne in San Diego
  12. Also heard it called 7 America. Perhaps John D of Simplesevens will chime in. Wayne
  13. I have heard that the American 7 was a clam shell fendered with an under 1 liter engine. Think it was allowed in FP; which did not allow the Super 7. Wayne
  14. On the 2005 USA Tour, One of the Caterhams had the V8 engine and he ran complete tour. This car also had that attitude that if I need it, I already got it. Beautiful car that was air lifted in from Dubai for it's owner.
  15. Derek, The confusion might be that the 4 speed and 5 speed use different shifters. Quaife makes or made a shifter for the 5 speed. I think that tailshafts are different and therefore the shifter is also different. The Quaife 5 speed shifter is a nice piece. It bolts on with three bolts. Wayne in San Diego
  16. Have seen some in circle track in the smaller size. These are the type that have rubber backing behind a larger washer.
  17. Would be great to see you action. BTW, we have some of the fastest autocross cars in the country that will be there. Wayne super7guy7@yahoo.com
  18. Come on down to San Diego for our next autocross. Street tired 7s run with other street tired cars. We have a few 7s that show up regulary. http://www.sdr-scca.com Wayne in San Diego
  19. I have an almost complete set of DHLA45 jets for sale, at least four of each size and almost all sizes. Would sell duplicates, but would like to sell the complete set. Open to all cash offers from the list before hitting ebay. Thanks, Wayne super7guy7@yahoo.com

  21. Hi Ron,

Don't know if you went to the Speedfest, but I got the names and emails of two (of 4) lotus 7 owners (Jim & Paul) and wanted to include you directly in my emails to them directly.

  22. For those of you with built zetecs, what PV clearance are you using or what was recommended for your zetec? Thanks, Wayne

  24. Did you try Raceline UK?
  25. Michael, While not a race clutch, just replaced the clutch with RAM disc and PP. Their new style PP is thinner and smaller. weighs 8-9 lbs and was already drilled for larger bolts. Disc is 7 3/4 vs 8 1/2. Used a sprung hub this time. Everything bolted up to the raceline zetec flywheel. Wayne
