What are your goals and plans for this year?

In no particular order

Swap headlights to the front mount position of later years instead of the rear position

Install CF headlight buckets

Figure out overheating at idle issue

Install Westermann bits and pieces (CSR wings, CF mirrors, wishbone aero)

Get SLR wheel center caps manufactured/fitted

Mock up 620R nosecone and get it painted

Bump up agreed value on the insurance policy

Enjoy and put a bunch of miles on the car.

Installing:

  • Lifeline Zero 360 fire suppression system

On order:

  • Superlight roll cage

Soon to order:

  • Blinkstop
  • Third brake light with modulator

Once I've gotten confirmation that the cage will actually get to me:

  • Order the Soft Bit for Sevens SLR Cage Weather Set and new boot cover
  • Remove hood sticks and replace boot cover (and sell sticks, hood and boot cover)
  • Source mirrors w/ mounts for roll cage

A lot more track events

Install big brakes and heavy-duty spindles and hubs

Finally get my Tracksport gearbox together

I finally figured out how to wire my wiper motor to the switch I want to use and that means I can get tags

Replace all the suspension bushings

Install new carbon dash with custom switch panel

  • Finish 2.4L Duratec
  • Build my incoming Caterham
  • Sell the 420R engine and all the other kit parts I don't need
  • Register Caterham
  • Sell Westfield (although I may delay this until 2023)
  • Blat, blat, blat!

Resist temptation to buy stickier tires, keep learning the car and shedding time on track.

Only upgrade to ZZR after reasonably plateaued.

Modify battery tray and install the antigravity battery I've had sitting on the shelf for many months. (aka add some lightness)

Hmmm...this is a long list

Have Bruce @BruceBefinish off CatKong

New tires time for the silver Caterham CSR.  New seats should arrive too in a few months

Plenty of track days planned in UK for the Caterham I keep there - Donington, Goodwood, Brands Hatch GP, Croft, Cadwell Park.

Get #1 Holden Group A restoration 60% done - new paint done.  Engine bay done and fuel system sorted.  Interior is next year

Get #2 Holden Group A suspension sorted so that it does not provide bulk oversteer if I glance at a throttle.  Its fun but....

Pick up Lambo from its spa treatment in CO and go touring in MT and WY as the next installment in my cross continent explorations.  Want to drive Pikes Peak too.

Finally find that knock in the offside rear suspension of the Ferrari.  May consider painting it back to original navy blue?

Finish the suspension set up on the BMW CSL with the new camber plates.  Needs new tires.  New fuel cell to fix pick up issues under hard lefts.

Drive the Mustang and continue to physically destroy me.

Look at the Holden Torana in the garage and wonder what I should do with it for restoration.

Finish the exterior restoration of the Range Rover.  Interior started - hopefully air con finished and working by December.

Feel I have lost a car somewhere.....

1. Repair the throttle pedal, which snapped in half at the weld at Sebring a few weeks ago.

2. Replace engine harness to get oil pressure feedback working again.

3. Install fuel pump control module.

4. See if there's a way to get the front brake pads out without having to disassemble the whole front end (the retaining pins are currently blocked by the fender arms).

5. Replace engine coolant antifreeze with water wetter type.

Caterham SV is good to go. A fresh set of Hoosier A6's are mounted on my track wheels just waiting.

Other projects coming to completion this spring.

S1 E-Type FHC - Hot engine rebuild from Bill Terry, TT Engines going in. 357 hp

XK140MC OTS - Also a medium/hot Bill Terry rebuild going in at the moment.

BB512 - Engine & suspension rebuild just about done.

Alfa Giulia Spider Veloce - in for paint & chrome

I know, I should just have my own engine shop...
