  1. We can all be glad you were not worse off. Looks like the cage did its job. Get well over a slow season.
  2. Great garage.
  3. Congratulations on the new toy. Depending how much driving you do, octane booster may be cheaper that messing with the engine. I ran booster for a few years on an old L89 (435 hp) Vette and never had any trouble.
  4. Thanks for posting, Doctor. We always enjoy the photos and 120k is a nice accomplishment.
  5. You can search for Speedometer Correction Box. Here's one example: https://speedometercablesusa.com/gear_box_adapters.html Back in the day, these things were used a lot for calibrating odos for rally. Don't remember the brand we used. Pretty crucial if the navigator gets "lost" in a stage.
  6. Just remember, the answer is always MIATA! Search for Spec Miata Seats and you will faind a bunch from many suppliers, reasonably priced. As little as 15" wide?
  7. Best of luck for a great Sunday morning drive. I just love some of the details, from the little fan blades to the sparking plug boots, and that nice battery cage. Sweet job.
  8. Last registered in 1977. Well before any of the replica / air cars became a thing. Major job though. Numbers? Title? A lot left unsaid. What say the experts?
  9. Great stuff. Keep it coming.
  10. My word! How many ponies power thee all alloy car? How do you manage? Great photos.
  11. About the dry sump. With both dry sumps cars I have had (Birkin & Porsche) you check the level with the warm engine at idle, circulating oil. Someone more knowledgeable about a Vauxhall may know differently. Welcome to the mad house.
  12. "Amazing how drastically small 7s look against other traffic " Wow. A place with more automobiles than trucks! Thanks for the ray of hope.
  13. Last 2 days for Westy at Hemmings Auction. https://www.hemmings.com/auction/lucky-number-seven-1998-westfield-speedsport-1800?utm_medium=email&utm_source=auctions_newsletter
  14. Thank you for those kind words. I have as many grey hairs as anyone, unless you deduct for the hairs that are no longer there. I just want younger folks in the activities I like, to ensure they continue. Can I get an Amen?
  15. Great to see a young person with so much wisdom. The photo file from last weekend shows so much grey. Glad to see you're enjoying life properly.
  16. Electric Lotus chassis shown. (The one photo makes me miss my Alpine.) https://www.autoweek.com/news/sports-cars/a37685281/lotus-ev-architecture/?source=nl&utm_source=nl_aut&utm_medium=email&date=092221&utm_campaign=nl25114502&utm_term=AAA -- High Minus Dormant and 90 Day Non Openers
  17. Congratulations and welcome. Have fun, fun, fun.
  18. KEEP UM COMING. Could we have a list of whose who, maybe by color and number?

  20. The future is coming. And it doesn't look half bad. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a37484399/porsche-mission-r-electric-future-racing/?source=nl&utm_source=nl_cdb&utm_medium=email&date=090721&utm_campaign=nl24526983
  21. Congratulations, Professor! I say the bid $ earlier this morning and could hardly believe it. Very well bought indeed.
  22. Congratulations! With the hassle people have registering theses cars, there is an interesting side note. Hagerty offers a coverage (Cherished Salvage ) that lets you keep the salvage after a (agreed upon value) total loss, at no charge. The extra premium is 15% of the damage premium. My whole total annual premium in Texas is $305, so 15% of something less than that. At worst, say you need a replacement frame and a corner, you still have the state registered identity of the car (1965 Lotus) and are building a kit over. Of course you get a hicky of "salvage" on the title.
  23. #1. What does the Texas title call it?
  24. Croc, hurry. The cheapest way you your to get a 400 actually on the road. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1984-ferrari-400-11/
