Where my car coasted to a stop after dying on the road this afternoon. Apparently, my previously functional fuel gauge is not to be trusted anymore- it still showed half a tank! Luckily a friend was close by brought me enough gas to get me home.

It may have heard that people were dying to get into that cemetery and taken it to heart.

Got the Birkin out for a drive.  First time this year.  This is the car park for the Mendota Overlook of the confluence of the Minnesota and Mississippi rivers.

The weather went right back in the dumper after this.

So, it turns out I was NOT out of gas, so now it's time for a new fuel pump!

This half top (SoftBits) came with the r400 but did not have the zip out for easy entry... I knew I would not use it unless it was so equipped.  My local Saddlery did this for me in leather (of course) but in Az that won't be an issue and as it overlaps like the original ( full length round seal and hook/loop tape with heavy duty zipper) even in the rain it would seal.  Now it will get some use come summer.
