jordway Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Appropriately died right beside a cemetery. Glad you weren't left stranded. 1

Apparently, my previously functional fuel gauge is not to be trusted anymore- it still showed half a tank! Luckily a friend was close by brought me enough gas to get me home. It may have heard that people were dying to get into that cemetery and taken it to heart.
pethier Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Got the Birkin out for a drive. First time this year. This is the car park for the Mendota Overlook of the confluence of the Minnesota and Mississippi rivers. The weather went right back in the dumper after this. Mirror adventure in another thread... 6 2

So, it turns out I was NOT out of gas, so now it's time for a new fuel pump! 1 1
Reiver Posted April 19 Posted April 19 (edited) This half top (SoftBits) came with the r400 but did not have the zip out for easy entry... I knew I would not use it unless it was so equipped. My local Saddlery did this for me in leather (of course) but in Az that won't be an issue and as it overlaps like the original ( full length round seal and hook/loop tape with heavy duty zipper) even in the rain it would seal. Now it will get some use come summer. Edited April 20 by Reiver 4 2
Grady Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Finished painting and now it has been rainy for 3 weeks, so it is sitting in storage. It has good company though. 3 1 1
Scott_ Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I had never installed the tonneau cover that came with this car so i put it on and took it out for a spin. I shouldn't have waited so long to try it. Scott 3 1

Austin David Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago (edited) And sun, and keeps the heat in for the winter. Zip up and you get weather protection too Edited 14 hours ago by Austin David 1
speedwagon Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Yes but I had to make a periscope in order to drive while hunkered underneath it.

I recall an episode of Run For Your Life wherein two guys ran a border crossing in a sports-racing car (sans rollbar). One guy was crouched down and steering while the other guy was stuffed in backwards holding a mirror and giving directions to the driver. Zoomed past the border guards and under the turnpike.
